It's not just about the money; those artifacts were stolen during the nazi occupation of Greece, and do very well belong to the Greek people, not the German. The demands, which also included the return of 8,500 archaeological treasures and artefacts in Germany, were met with incredulity in Berlin. How about a deal where Greece gets the artifacts for 9 months of the year and Berlin gets them for the other three. Berlin is where I'm going to be living next year specifically, and I wanna see all of those beautiful artifacts for myself!!!! >:0

Sue me.
It's not my fault undemocratic supranational economic unions don't work.
The EU would actually be great if each country had kept their respective currencies and no Eastern European nation was allowed in.
Poland and Romania are like the 6th and 7th largest EU countries in terms of population. And the rest of the Eastern European countries either have tiny economies or are already equivalent to Western Europe in terms of living standards.

You are an exception. You at least back up your opinion with intelligent arguments. My thread is more directed towards the "hurr eurocommies suck cause they don't have freedom and they aren't murica" sort of people.

I like to see a union that prides itself on being the pinnacle of human governance and equality completely collapse in on itself.
It's gotten to where it's more interesting than watching America turn into what its founders rebelled against.
You have no idea what you're talking about. You will also make a (not) good replacement for Kinder.

I don't understand how this works..
Someone pls explain
The Euro is normally at the rate of between 1.20 Dollars to 1.30 Dollars to the Euro. The fact that it's 1.06 Dollars to the Euro now means that the Euro as a currency is worth quite a bit less than average.

I'm one of those apathetic young people. Standing in line for two hours every other year isn't worth it. Sue me.
When I went to vote last November, there wasn't any line to speak of....

They never asked to remove the map. They just wanted IW to fix that picture frame in the bathroom. The only people who were responsible for taking down Favela was IW themselves.

The US has been developing a railgun for like a decade, you know that right? An actual one with military application that is.
That's beside the point.
Well, don't worry. Nobody in Russia will get anywhere unless Lord Putin himself approves of it.

Black Africans being subservient and submissive to Arab masters who will no doubt take advantage of them?
Holy fuck it's like a metaphor for the history of Islam itself.
Oh, of course you have no idea what the context of this entire thing is, so you make a wiseass joke.
This merger benefits both organizations a great deal.
Temporarily.
I think everyone knows at this point the hammer will be coming down on IS and that's going to include Boko Haram now.
It greatly benefits both organizations in the short-term. IS gets an expansion in a foreign country to make up for its sustained losses in Syria (and especially Iraq, where they're losing Tikrit right now). And Boko Haram gets access to all of the resources IS has to offer. Though this could also be interpreted as IS realizing that its days as a government are numbered, and these expansions are meant to legitimize their dissolution as a state and reversion to an insurgency. Albeit a very powerful one. The international coalition is going to have to go through a great deal of red tape to even touch IS in Nigeria unlike IS in Syria and Iraq, where the governments either requested international aid, or are too unstable to even manage the fight against IS.

That's honestly frightening.
Not really, if you've been following what's been going on over the past year, Boko Haram joining IS is pretty expected. Those two groups have more in common than any other terror group in the world. In tactics, function, and aspirations. Boko Haram joining IS is a positive thing if anything, since now there will be far more international support for dealing with Boko Haram than there was over the past 2 years.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-31862992So now the IS Caliphate has expanded to Nigeria.... Whoopee. Though this may give the reason for the US to intervene in favor of the Nigerian Government, which they'd probably welcome since the Nigerian Army can't fight Boko Haram for shit.

Yeah, her boyfriend was driving the car too.
Oh god, he's gonna go onto guilt overload. Assuming he's still alive that is.

Calling the police on Challenger's homicide/suicide post and getting him put on a government watch list
Wow, did you actually do this? That's some obsession-level autism right there. Seriously, how pathetic does your life have to get to call the police over a fucking Internet trolling attempt? If that's funny for you, I vastly overestimated the quality of your sense of humor.
To think, you used to be one of my favorite members...
Of course he didn't.
Even if he did (which I wouldn't doubt, this is Dustbin after all) you can't get put on a watch list for saying some shit on a forum and then revealing it's a joke and continuing to post months after said post.
Well that's a relief.
And if he sent it to the FBI, that's all he knows. He can't say "I put him on a government watch list" because it's entirely up to the agent reading it. The agent then either recommends it for review which means you MIGHT be put on a watch list, or discards it because he/she sees no credible threat. On top of that, if you're put on one, it isn't permanent. They'll remove you if they think a hasty decision of mistake was made and you've done literally nothing and have been proven to associate with any known terrorists or terrorist organizations. And I doubt I would've gotten my NINo if I was on a watch list.
I could report Dustbin to the FBI right now. Doesn't mean he'll end up in a "government watch list".
Yup <.<
If they actually did give a shit about this kind of thing, I expect I would have had a knock on the door after the first few Takbirs.
DID SOMEBODY SAY TAKBIR!!!! ALLAHU AKBAR!!!!

Also I love how greece is giving germany shit for being nazis 70 years ago...
Which is why the leadership of that party was arrested, and it's running around now like a headless chicken. Also, it lost quite a lot of the seats it gained back in 2012 in 2015's elections. They'll probably revert back to being a bunch of raving, powerless lunatics by next election. Not to mention that a good amount of their MPs were arrested as well, and the party is being charged as a criminal organization soon.

even learning japanese isn't bad
it's just stupid if you're only learning it so you can understand undubbed anime, like a weeaboo would do
there's no german equivalent of that i just don't think "deutschaboo" functions as a term
What if you want to learn German to watch German war movies unsubbed?
I'd say that's still pretty dumb tbh
What I don't get is why all of those people are only interested in Nazi Germany and before, when Germany now is so much better and has more culture than Germany in the past. It's like some weird fetish boner for Nazism.

Greece demanding reparations for wwII from Germany isn't a new thing. I think that Germany should give Greece reparations though. Not a lump sum of 150 billion Euros, but in increments over a long period of time. 150 billion Euros is about 1/15th of Germany's annual GDP, and pretty much Greece's entire annual GDP.

>Land of the Lazy
I'm sorry, who's too lazy to calculate tax in their head?
The same people who can't walk 1k
Here is a true story from my neighborhood: So there's this little shopping outlet about a half mile from my house. And there is this one guy who lives right next to it. So, what method of transportation does he use to get from his house to the store? Not his feet, but his fucking CAR. It's about 200 feet of walking, but instead he picks to drive. #murica
