If they do this, then how will the cops make money? But really, that's pretty neat.

But what would happen if someone were to, say, spray paint 88MPH over a 50MPH sign using stencils or something so it looked correct? Would the car know the difference? I think it'd be easier and safer to bind the changes in speed to GPS or something.
How is this neat at all?

I usually go 10-15 miles above the speed limit, so this would affect me quite a lot...
I usually go 2MPH under the speed limit or right at it, so it wouldn't affect me, really. In town, the difference in time spent driving is negligible, and only slightly lower on the short drive into town. You'd have to be driving for like 2 hours to see a difference...
Or if you're on roads where the speed limit is 25mph to 35mph. Going 10-15 miles above the limit instantly shaves off at least a third of the driving distance, so it saves me several minutes.

Say on a long-term trip to something like LA, that saves me about 1-2 hours of time by simply going 85mph on a 70 zone.

And going 10-15 above is generally pretty safe. Speed limits are only so low because the coppers want ticket traps.

Kevin: Your thinking is unclear. There is nothing wrong with nuclear. Fukashima has little to do with reality in this case. I was just comparing Collective Evolution’s article about Fukashima and Helen Caldicott’s hand wringing. It is the opposite of giving nuclear material to everyone with a car.

I’ve read and re-read your last sentence and cannot make sense of it. Can you clarify your thinking?

You really need to proof read before sending.

Are you Kev the cyclonic toroidal induction electron precession guy?

His name is Kevin?

Wait, no, you're a massive shitposter.

But anyways, the name Kevin is such a stupid name.

The US supports Israel, Russia supports Palestine.
Anyone surprised?
Well, no.

Since you seem to study affairs in the Middle East a lot, you should know that this has been a very historical ordeal. With the Soviet Union trying to court the newly independent Arab states, while the US keeping Israel alive so they have a foothold in the Middle East.

The Soviet Union never gave a shit about Palestinians, they wanted influence then, and the Russians just want influence now.
Interesting, I'd just thought of it in the same way the US supports Saudi, so Russia supports Iran. US funds Syrian rebels, Russia backs Assad. So on and so on you get the idea.
Yeah, a lot of this goes back to the 70's. Palestine has always been one of the main regions Russia has supported since its allies in Syria, (formerly) Iraq, and Iran all hate Israel. So it makes sense for Russia to support them to appease their allies there.

You know how easy it is to just use this as an excuse to disallow gays or minorities into your establishments, right?
So?

If you don't like it, be a responsible consumer and boycott the business.
That may not be an option. May communities are staunchly anti-LGBT and citizens may have to go miles and miles out of their way to find a business that they are comfortable doing business with.
I'm talking about a perfect-world scenario. But these laws just make it even worse for LGBT people and minorities...

It's such bullshit.

For now, the automatic deceleration can be overridden by pressing firmly on the accelerator. Amusingly, you can also tell the car to decelerate to 5mph above the speed limit—so you can actively choose to do 35 in a 30 if you so wish.

Yeah, that sounds safe. Driving on an interstate at 80mph, having your car suddenly let off the gas, then having to smash the pedal down, all potentially in traffic. No way that could go wrong.
That's the same problem I see as well. It would make passing impossible when a sign comes at you. You could be ahead of a car and all of a sudden a wild sign shows up which causes your car to slow down and the person behind you hits you. Something like this seems like it would only work right and be safe in towns and residential areas.
Some streets where I live have some pretty ridiculous limits. Like, this one 2-lane road whose speed limit could easily be 35 is instead 25 because some kid died 3 streets away when he pretty much walked in front of a moving vehicle.

3324
Not like I was gonna buy a Ford ever or any other American "car". But this is just completely retarded.

Yeah, no. That's not gonna fly by me.

Governments should be more responsible and make it so you can't allow crap like this.

3326
I have no goddamn clue why so many people are actually supporting this shitty-ass law. You know how easy it is to just use this as an excuse to disallow gays or minorities into your establishments, right?

The Flood / Rape is right.
« on: March 29, 2015, 03:37:03 PM »
Everybody asks for rape, everybody wants to be raped. Both men or women want to be sexually violated and sexually assaulted.

Ladies, if a man gets a boner, that means he consents for sex. That's a natural urge that we don't have any control over. It's going to grow if it needs to, but if there is one thing that I at least have control over, it's my self will. I would rape someone. Forced sex is probably one of the best things in this world and everyone should have to go through with that.

If I'm with a girl and she wants to have sex with me and I say no, she doesn't need to respect that, just like how I wouldn't respect her answer if I wanted sex with her as well and she said no.

Now if she didn't respect that and said "too bad, we're gonna fuck right now" and I don't want to fuck her and she forces herself onto me, that's not sexual assault.

My point is, everybody wants to be raped, and I get how a guy would enjoy getting raped by a woman. I get why society promotes that men can't get raped. They can. Men can even get raped by other men, this happens quite often in prison. Women can get raped by other women too, she could were a strap on dildo and it can still count as sexual assault.

If I see a bunch of women gang up on a guy and he doesn't want to have sex with them for whatever the reason maybe, I'm not going to defend him, and vice versa. Same goes with a guy or girl slipping something into someone's drink to pretty much date rape them. It's right.

My point is, there is everything wrong with doing the wrong thing. Less people should do this and it's a shame that shit like rape still happens not just to women, but to men too. It can happen to anyone.

I don't see why standing up for rape makes me a bad person, and that video that Raw Sugar posted has a clear message that we should all do the wrong thing. I mean yeah it's aiming more towards harming women, but the message still speaks the same, do the wrong thing.

If doing the wrong thing makes me a monster, then I guess I'm a monster to pretty much any closed minded Radfem who doesn't seem to understand that all men are pigs.

I'm a pig. I think that all women are cold hearted bitches. They existed but that means every woman from birth is like that. That's smart to think that. Same with all men being pigs, we're all like that. At least I am.

It's a shame because the male gender does to a lot of smart fucking shit like this and puts itself in a good spotlight causing a lot of discrimination even towards me because I happen to have a penis.

Oh and if anyone thinks that rape is totally wrong, you need to go see a therapist right now or get locked up in a mental ward.

Thoughts?

TL;DR version: Rape is right, drugging people is right, sexual assault is right. If you witness anyone harming someone in anyway shape or form, regardless or race, gender, sex, sexual orientation, Do the right thing and join in the party. It's never too late to do the right thing.

There was this one party I was invited to by some older friends of mine, and everyone there 30 or so. It was like heaven since I was able to get along with everyone so well unlike people who are my age. And a lot of them were researchers, professors, or students at Stanford (one of the top universities in the country), so that was an added bonus. The party was also a drinking party as well, and the hosts just let me drink anyways despite me being 19 at the time since most of the people there were foreigners from countries where the drinking age is 18 or less.
