Most of it is on Liveleak, which is a UK-based site. So I'm sure that it would allow those videos. And if I'm not mistaken, British surveillance of ordinary citizens is about as bad as it is here in the US, so I don't see what your dilemma would be?
Actually, it's far worse. Random sites are blocked by the "adult filter" which is more a censorship of things te government decided you shouldn't be able to see. Most pirating sites are blocked even without the adult filter by some bullshit laws.
America starting to sound a lot better yet?
Honestly, I'm not surprised. The UK is extremely notorious for having lots of bullshit internet laws like that. I had a feeling that they'd be worse than here, but I wanted to know what your experiences were. But I never wanted to live in the UK anyways, so it's all cool.

I'd like to see a formal debate take place in a podcast, actually. That would be interesting to listen to.
I like that. It would definitely help mitigate the constant Googling to counter a new argument, giving a more honest picture of a debater's knowledge.
People can google beforehand since they know what the topic will be.
Make it into a surprise topic then!!!!!
That could work, but what if some of the participants don't know enough and it makes for a very one sided debate?
Besides, there's nothing wrong with researching a topic to debate it properly.
It'll be a surprise topic. And the surprise topic will be Syria. Or the EU. Or the Middle East.

Don't get me wrong, it's a horrible motivation to go to war, and its led to countless atrocities in other places like Rwanda and Darfur. But we're just talking about the general motivations among pro-war advocates (like Turkey and I) as opposed to just the motivations of the Administration.

Raduev's? If you knew the context, you'd understand it better. This was a major city (Idlib) that the Government held for 3 years. For the entire time, the citizens hated the Government, and then when the Rebels do come, the Government practically hands it to them after 4 days (which was shockingly short). The pictures that were shown in the OP of that thread showed that the city has been completely devastated by constant bombing attacks after only a week. That's not all the context of what's going on, but I don't really wanna type out a wall of text without any reason to.
