And there was already a very significant number of Jews living in that land. And they were only going to get 40 or so percent of the land making up Israel. It's just that the Arab nations literally immediately attacked, so they created their own problem.
The Arabs attacked because 1) They never agreed to losing their land, it was taken from them. and 2) the Jews who settled there kicked Arabs out of their homes and treated the ones that managed to stay as second class citizens.
I recommend watching this if you have the time.
1) Actually, Palestine was still a British colony right until the moment Israel was founded. So Israel was never "taken" from them since it was never theirs to begin with. Turkey has a more legitimate claim to Palestine since they actually exercised jurisdiction over it for close to 500 years. 2) This was during the unstable period where Israel's mere existence was at risk, since Israel's national identity was still very shaky. I'm not saying a justification, but I'm saying a reason why they did it. The Arabs really were the ones who wrought the current fate of Palestine, not Israel. 3) That was the video I was referencing. So yeah, I've already seen it.

Cause I made the mistake of taking 2 online classes this quarter. And it's hard for me to make friends my age cause I get along far better with people who are older than me (like 5-15 years) than with people who are my age or younger. Just that much more experience, y'know?
I guess I'm just lucky enough to get along with pretty much any age group. I don't like babies though.
I mean, I can get along fine with people my age. I just much prefer socializing with people older than me. And it's not exactly a hindrance or anything.
