Nah but really, as far as gear goes depends if you want to be a heavy hitter or a lightweight or something inbetween.
Skeletons are literally always bad news in Dark Souls. Stay the fuck away from skeletons as much as possible.
Also don't level up resistance because it doesn't really do anything.
