To be fair about the Batgirl cover change, they admitted that the cover didn't go through the proper channels for approval and it didn't match the comic's tone. The people who pointed that out got harassment though, which is definitely not okay.

The problem with the Tumblr-brand crowd isn't feminism; it's misandry in the guise of feminism. Feminists don't subscribe to this twisted view of what can and can't be done with characters, this is (as Verb said) a vocal minority. The only companies who pander to that crowd are the ones that need to hide their skeletons the most (like EA).

>also on consoles LOL
i actually wasn't even aware of that, myself
The indie titles I just mentioned are multiplatform games except for Binding of Issac.
Except it totally is. You do know that the superior version (aka not flashshit) is on PS4, right?
Yeah I'm sure it's sooo superior.
>ironically being retarded It's as fun as watching you roll down a flight of stairs after you fall out of your wheelchair :^)

oh, and shitty indie game #43299403482034989034
can't forget that classic
Yeah because as we all know Hotline Miami, Super Meat Boy, VVVVVV, and Binding of Isaac are so shitty and generic. Bitch please, your "arguments" are total trash.
>also on consoles Keep trying buddy, maybe enough people will sign your petition to get a Persona 3 PC port a few years from now

Not really. Saying "it isn't objectively good" just means that there is nothing factual to state a clear superiority. All he's stated is that it's an entirely subjective claim.
He's yet to actually substantiate his own claim. He sounds like a broken record repeating his premise without actually elaborating on it in a concise, coherent, and respectful manner.
His claim that PC gaming isn't objectively good?
It is an objectively superior platform though for reasons that are numerous. Anybody who tries to argue that console gaming is equal or superior to PC gaming is either a troll or a total moron.
Numerous reasons like being Skynet B8 and watching porn amirite xDD
Stop, you're going full retard.
I am not! I'll have you know I've only shitposted twice in this thread (towards you); everything else has been perfectly reasonable. So really I'm only like 1/8th retard on my mother's side.

If you actually try to argue that consoles are better then you're probably a complete retard.
I haven't seen him say anything outrageous like "consoles are objectively better". All he's said is that he likes them more due to his opinions and circumstances.
Then he's probably retarded.
I prefer consoles because I like portability and collecting games. Can't do that on PC without kneecapping myself with a laptop or sticking to decade or older games.

Stating something like PC gaming isn't objectively good because I say it's bad doesn't qualify something as objectively not good. He's yet to make any actual claims as to why it's not "objectively good" beyond "I don't like what you like".
That's not how objectivity works. Objectivity is based on factual support; you can't refute facts that don't exist. How can you expect him to disprove it being objectively good without anything to rebut?

I know that this is already an understood notion
But different people like different things. I don't know how to explain it in a way that would satisfy you, and there's the possibility that there isn't one. It's just not something that appeals to you.
You already understand that, too; you basically said it on the page before. I wish that I could make everything perfect and have you like it, but I can't. There's nothing wrong with disliking them though, there definitely are some flaws with the games; primarily with framerate, easily abused items, or repetitive AI placement.

i can see the appeal in games like monopoly, where you basically fuck your friends over but if you're playing monopoly with your friends, you all already have this mutual understanding of how the game works
so even though you just got fucked over by one of your friends, you can just kinda laugh and shrug it off
in souls, that's... not the case
monopoly is like getting fucked over with consent, or forethought dark souls is more like getting raped
which uh isn't fun
Why can't you laugh and shrug it off? Every Souls game gives you the chance to recover lost souls/echoes, which is more than monopoly does. If it's payback you want, you can always look up the player's SL/location on their player card and invade them.

It's a feature that people enjoyed enough for it to be present in four games.
Some people like to get tricked, or otherwise deciding to believe it or not.
which leaves us at square 1 again, doesn't it
why do people like getting tricked
that's kinda like spelling "logic" like "S-H-I-T"
I can't really day, I'm no expert of the mind. But I will say that the only time I've died from a message was because I stopped paying attention to my surroundings while reading one. Well, that and jumping down a long way to read one and getting stuck and having to homeward bone out. Not to say that you can't get killed from them, but I just haven't encountered anything that would make it a burden instead of helpful. If you really doubt the authenticity, look for one with a dozen or more likes. Fakes get down voted to oblivion.

Care to actually provide proof of me being a PC elitist instead of just making claims?
And verb you've claimed that PC gaming sucks and that if you say something is bad then it objectively isn't good. I'm not putting words in you mouth. You said this.
I would presume that this is more a problem of how it's read. Going by Verb's last few posts, he meant that "PC gaming isn't objectively good", not "PC gaming is objectively not good".

I mean, leaving false messages is basically just the "it says gullible on the ceiling" of vidya

« on: March 30, 2015, 10:38:44 PM »
You don't gain anything by leaving misleading messages, and invasions are just PVP like many online games feature. Offline "invasions" are common in Dark Souls as a matter of of fact, more so in Dark Souls II. They're basically mini-bosses, except with far more variety and challenging since it's another person instead of the AI.

>people who take PC master race seriously
PC has its perks, but it really isn't the end-all-be-all that the autists who take the gag seriously make it out to be.

It's more just a difference in how you view it.
You hate it because someone can fuck you over. Someone else might like it because it could add more challenge, or because they might stumble across something in the process, or just find it hilarious.
I haven't even run across anybody so far actually, and I've scarcely seen messages anyway.

To be fair, I also find it hard to find a PC exclusive that's good and has a good amount of replay value. Within the past decade of course, there are a lot of older PC games that are great, but this isn't exactly the prime of PC exclusives.

Then why not just do --/10? Unless your goal is to get reactions, in which case it works.

Good news though Verb: right when you start up, it gives you the option to play online or offline. I personally haven't been invaded or invaded, and you can summon NPCs instead of players if you really feel like you need them.
Wasn't that always an option, though? The online/offline thing.
Only if you disconnected yourself from the internet. Now it's an innate option.

The gameplay is smooth as butter too, they definitely fixed the framerate issue from the gameplay reveal. Haven't run into a Blight Town-issue yet.
