The Flood / Re: I'm going to see Jurassic world in TWO hours
« on: June 12, 2015, 10:38:30 PM »
Just seen it.  Thought the kids were horribly written (though i can't think of a movie where kids aren't annoying pos).

Spoiler
Thought it was good up until the end.  I couldn't maintain suspension of disbelief with that woman out running a T-Rex in heels for like 800ft and the lone raptor tagging in to help Big T get back up.  I liked how Spike died though.

Also, the transition of how the raptors acted to Pratt was poorly done.  From trying to eat him to hunting, back to e
trying to eating him then after they catch him staring into his eyes and turning good again.

7/10

First JP is 9/10 in comparison.
Spoiler
They didn't straight up want to eat him in the cage, he got between them and their "food". Even after the Indominus Rex became the alpha, the raptor in the field (the one that got blown up by an RPG) didn't make any attempt to attack him. At the end, when it was literally him or the Rex, they chose the one they had imprinted on when they were hatched: Owen.

Spoiler
also Blue is the real MVP

Explain why 2% inflation is optimal using words no longer than nine characters long.
Helps grease the wheels of the labour market, and combat nominal price rigidity.

That would be uncomfortable, dates don't provide proper lumbar support.

It was "meh" for me. Some cool ideas but very poor execution and little to no suspense.

It also amazes me how 20+ years later, the effects from the original still are leagues better.

You can't beat a combination of practical and CGI effects man. Merge the two together just right and you'll have something that can stand the test of time.

Case and point. Terminator 2.
Jurassic World uses practical and CGI effects though
There was like one scene with a dinosaur that wasn't CGI
Practical and CGI effect usage confirmed

thanks, m'lady

If you're going to see it for any reason other than "Dinosaurs tearing shit up", then you're a cUNT.
have you seen mad max yet
No, not yet. I need to give the movies a break, I've spent $10,000 there in the last two days.

And that's just the cost for popcorn

All you need to know is that Jurassic Park ended with a lot of people dying each time it opened

I didn't mention any specific games. Though WoW is pretty good. Certainly better than ESO.
WoW is the reason MMOs are shit, it started the theme park trend and casualization of the genre

Also it's not fun

These are the guys that made Crackdown 2, and disregarding the choice in setting, it was a sound game. I'll wait and see how it turns out.
