Mobile cards are shit no matter what you get, so deciding on a graphics card is pointless for laptops. Just make sure it had an i7-4970k since the CPU will do all the work anyways.
I'm not I'm literally just looking for a good laptop haha, whether or not it's good for gaming isn't really important, it's just a plus
Doesn't matter what you planning on doing with the computer really tbh. No matter what it is, mobile cards are terrible and barely make a difference. They end up off loading nearly everything onto the CPU. So just make sure you have a great CPU and 8gB RAM. You'll be golden.
The MacBook I'm looking at has 16gb, and a quad core i7.
Idrc for it tbh.
My PC is for gaming and it's already...something lol.
I got it covered mate
Quad core is only good for multithreading, which a lot of games/general use applications don't even use. Clockspeed is the only thing you need to pay attention to. 16gB is also unnecessary for general use, 8gB is more than enough.

looking at task manager while playing Civ V tells me otherwise, babe.
Civ V is a CPU game tho. GPU is just for accelerating image production. Civ V allocates most of its horsepower into running background information and simulating the AI. Not to say that it doesn't use the GPU, it's just not as necessary in that kind of game.

Making dumb decisions is part of growing up, being afraid to talk because you're either going to mess up/forget half your vocabulary at any given moment or accidentally interrupt someone multiple times isn't. Would you say your problem is rooted more in how people will perceive you as a result of these gaucheries, or is it something else entirely? Because I would certainly hope that it's a part of growing up, because I'm in the same boat as you, but my problem is mostly about the former. If I do something stupid, I start convincing myself that everyone hates me now, and is going to start treating me differently based on those little social fuck-ups.
In reality, no one cares, because everyone makes social fuck-ups, and there's not enough time to be concerned about other people's awkwardness. I find that thought a little comforting, personally, and I feel like when I fully grasp that concept--the idea that everyone else is living out their own complex lives, too--I think that's a sign of maturation, or growing up. Because it makes your problems seem smaller and that much less significant.
I can't speak for you, of course, but I mean... I don't know, I just hope you find some way to make it better.
More the fact that saying the wrong thing/forgetting to say something gets me in trouble, that gives me anxiety attacks, anxiety attacks create more self doubt, more doubt antagonize my Dysthymia. Plus, the Aphasia gets worse the less "relaxed" I am. So it's a vicious cycle.

FALLOUT 4 LOOKS FUCKING AMAZING
The graphics look like shit since it looks like New Vegas in 1080p.
At least the game looks like it could feasibly ship looking like this and it won't be another Watch_Dogs.

Social anxiety, fear of ridicule, Dysthymia, aphasia, and a problem with understanding conversational stops. Well, I wouldn't call any of that idiocy, necessarily...
Yeah, but I look/feel like one a good bit of the time.

I'm still not a fan of Common Core; it's touted as the opposite of "no child left behind" while essentially being the same thing. All they've done is swap out learning milestones; and we won't even know if that had any effect for a few years.
Well it's better than doing fuck-all of nothing and hoping to achieve better results, which is what our previous system was.
A better system would to be reducing standardized testing and to allow more freedom in the learning structure. Rigid schedules are the detriment of creative thinking.
But it's also important that those free learning structures aren't too liberal and you find 12 year olds who don't know how to read, which is why a demanding class schedule is important.
Which is why more freedom is necessary, not absolute freedom. A balance is required, I agree. And right now the school system is not in balance.
