and by the way, i was saying you don't have to use your phone or your psp--if you're gonna emulate it at all, why couldn't you just download it on PC like a normal thief
i just HATE the idea of jailbreaking phones like HELL, especially for the purpose of doing illegal shit
Because I don't like emulating on PC, controls never feel right. At least on touchscreen/a handheld it doesn't feel completely wrong.

But none of them matter in the end
In a way. NCR is going to start falling apart at any minute from over-expansion. The Legion will lose direction after Caesar dies. House can last indefinitely, but that's assuming his plan to land on a heavenly body in the next 100 years works; otherwise, he'll end up stagnating too. Independent New Vegas can last as long as you can hold it.
That's a shit excuse. You could get overrun easily.
I literally just said that it lasts as long as you can hold it. And >Getting overrun >Securitron Army That army singlehandedly deterred the NCR from even attempting to fight you at the dam. And that's when it first arrived, not once they've fortified the area.

and if you're an iphone user, it should just say "fuck you"
emulating games on a phone is a whole new branch of scum
But emulating is the only way I can play Shin Megami Tensei in a civilized tongue.
you don't gotta use your phone, though!
But I don't want to be the nerd that carries a PSP everywhere. Also, it had an actual iPhone release too, so it's not like I'm committing Nintendocide. BTW Android > iPhone

Plus I don't consider Karma and gameplay factors to have a role in this, canonically speaking.
For any ending other than Yes Man, I'd agree. But considering that the fate of New Vegas lies with the kind of person the Courier is in Independence, the Courier's Karma definitely matters. Hell, in the bad karma ending for House, Mr. House let's the Courier do whatever he wants because he's afraid of him.

ignoring for the moment that an emulator should just come packed with each ROM, unless you specify otherwise
Wait, are you saying that an emulator should come prepackaged with every ROM?
i'm saying when you download a ROM, there should be an option on the downloading wizard (unchecked by default) that, when checked, will allow you download the required emulator as well, just in case you need it
maybe that's already a thing--i wouldn't know
That assumes there's only one emulator out there. There are dozens, depending on the system it's emulating. Also different emulators that work on different architectures. You can't play a Windows emulator on a Mac, a Mac emulator on an iPhone, etc.

>Not siding for an independent New Vegas >opting for an even worse anarchic dystopia
At least with the Legion you get some semblance of hierarchical order, despite them being the shittiest faction to choose.
Pls, my 10 Int 10 Cha Courier will easily run New Vegas free of social destruction. Courier doesn't necessarily run New Vegas, but if he tells somebody to do something they should probably do it if they know what's good for them.
Wouldn't independence leave NV with a massive power gap when the courier kicks the bucket? At least with House you get a decent chance of a civilised Vegas for longer than a couple decades.
Besides, who would the Courier delegate responsibilities to?
How long the Courier has is dependent on how old you make him, and the NCR/Legion both have similar/the same problem. House and Independence are the only two real options for sustaining the Strip. The difference is that House is, while an economic genius, also possibly psychotic and too narrow viewed for the Wasteland. He's still stuck in the Old World. Because of that, if his ship plan doesn't work, it will be obvious that he can't truly grasp the situation anymore. Independent New Vegas, I assume, would have another strong person take over the Courier's role as a protector and advisor. On delegation of responsibility, that would probably depend on the player's Karma.

House is tactical and efficient, but he literally recreated the mafia to run the strip and allows Freeside to squander in poverty. The only reason he even sends a Securitron out to Goodsprings after the game is to keep an eye on them.

I tried to enjoy it until the $40 not-included-in-the-pass DLC was announced. Then I decided that Bungie is a husk and Destiny is a perpetual grindfest that isn't even addicting in the way MMOs should be.

aria pretty much already went into that
they're fucking mediocre
what's right with the original trilogy
I'm sorry but your say doesn't matter here since you passionately hate everything about the franchise to begin with.
Not true Aliens are cool as fuck, and so are easter eggs

Looks like Keksworth was lying. Son of a bitch.
Wait, did you play the original MGS, or Twin Snakes? The original has more backtracking.
The original, obviously. There isn't that much backtracking. It's fairly straightforward compared to MG1 & MG2.
Well, at least there's backtracking in MGS2. You have that to look forward to.
Spoiler Go to Strut F Go to Strut D Go to Strut F Go to Strut B Go to Strut F Go to Strut B Go to Strut C Go to Strut F
Strut F was Raiden's personal Purgatory.
I'm pretty sure I quit playing it for a year or two when the game crashed when I got to the Harrier and I had to reload from before the Fatman segment.

You're pretty much the only person here who says Halo is a bad game. No one else here shares your opinion.
Halo is completely mediocre. It was revolutionary in the way that it was so simplified and skeletal mechanically that it could work using a console controller instead of a keyboard and mouse. Besides that one feat, every other gameplay "innovation" past that can be credited to Call of Duty, which is much more influential (but no less mediocre) than Halo on today's FPS games.
If you're going to throw theater mode in that argument, Halo got there first.
Which has only been used in a couple of Call of Duty games outside of Halo. Wouldn't call it influential. Actually, all it really did was take something that was already done (recording games), except make it available in game instead of externally. With the introduction of the share buttons on consoles, there's even less of a need for it (Although it's been brought back again by BO3, admittedly).

Y'know who I hope isn't in TPP?
Fucking Solidus.
Why?
It wouldn't surprise me if he was in the game. Or turns out to be Ishmael.
Fucking hate Solidus. Though that's mainly just because he isn't Solid or Liquid. He has no remarkable traits beyond being a villain. That was probably intentional, though.
Things are looking well for me, since only two children appeared at the end of the latest E3 trailer.
Spoiler The only point of Solidus is for the Big Boss/Snake relationship for Raiden during S3 testing, and to further expand on the Patriots and just how in control of everything they are. He had a kick ass suit, though.

in a year and half when it's up and people are still clinging to 7 and 8, they'll regret it why
Because there's no such thing as dualbooting in the scenario that someone wants the new car smell of another edition of Windows without the hassle of a shit-ton of games not being compatible.

I have Windows 10, as should everyone while it is free, because in a year and half when it's up and people are still clinging to 7 and 8, they'll regret it. Naturally though for now, sticking to the others is fine since all new OS's (even though this is the most tested one) have some kinks they need worked out.
So I wouldn't be mad in any way. I'd get it.
>There's a compatibility list available for games I prefer Windows 7 and compatibility mode/DoSbox, thanks.

Fallout Shelter isn't a bad game...but it feels like it needs your complete attention. So that's why I don't play it
Having to click the resources is kind of... retarded.
You have a chance of finding a Mr Handyman while scouring the Wasteland. They will automatically collect resources for the floor you assign them to. Or you can buy one for 99 cents, but that sounds like a waste of a dollar for me considering that it's not hard to click buttons.

you guys sure are methodical about your free mobile games designed strictly for casual play
Methodical is the only way to create a sustainable vault, Verb. This is no laughing matter, a few dozen virtual characters could virtually die after a few hours of improper handling. Virtually.
