shit whoopsie my hand slipped
Your hand accidentally slipped over the "post image" button/typed , then accidentally pasted the link to major spoilers. It really isn't funny, Gats. Just an ass move.

This thread got lively.
So when do I get metal gear rising 2?
When Platinum agrees to make it about Gray Fox fighting cyborg ninja zombies circa the year 2000. Or when Konami stops being a shit

Ehhh
I figured it was some silly reason. I mean come on, it's fanservice with an excuse guys. It's not like he's saying she dies or something.
Theories are one thing, confirmation is another. One is based on assumptions of circumstantial evidence, the other is a direct confirmation of the subject based on a person's opinion. I don't think anyone (besides possibly Sal) is really angry with LC's post. I'm just cautioning him to be careful with what he posts here considering that generally we (being those wanting to play the game with few biased expectations) just want to go in with a blank slate. Even if the case of that situation were the opposite, saying a lot of positive confirmations also taints a person's ability to take in information in an unbiased way; it could lead to an altered perception of the content as it appears to either extreme (joy or disgust).

It's not even a spoiler. I'm just saying I think it's stupid.
I mean, the purpose of censoring spoilers isn't for the purpose of not knowing the tweests. It's so that the people here can go into the game with the least amount of bias as possible. If people are going around saying, "there were a lot of stupid things in the game", then it'll be harder for the players to just play the game without looking for faults. Or in other words, we kind of want to form our own opinions before discussing it. I don't think that's a lot to ask for.

Reminder that the Bill of Rights (those unalienable things people keep talking about) speaks of arms in general, not specifically firearms. The framers were very certain in the vagueness of language they used so that specific rights couldn't be taken away via loopholes.
not to mention, their whole idea of a "firearm" was a fucking musket
Which is also why the Supreme Court has the ability to interpret those documents and apply them to modern conventions. I mean, the Framers were wary of big government at the time, but they also reeeeally didn't want the public to have too much power either. Think of how much information we have access to now with the internet, and realize how uneducated the general public is. Now also realize that these documents were drafted in a time period where it could take weeks to learn that the president of your nation has died, and now you understand why letting a mob of people who have no possible way of understanding the political situation have the ability to directly influence federal decisions is a bad idea.

It'd waste time too, because y'know, it takes a lot of time to create CG.
How would modifying the MKVI (do you not know your Roman numerals or something? IV = 4, VI = 6) from MP achieve anything? It's MKVI (and also GEN2). It doesn't look anything like any version of MKIV, whereas Chief's new MKVI armour design resembles MKIV. That'd be even more money and time wasted to create what is essentially a brand new model for 30 seconds of footage.
Not if they made it available as an armor permutation in multiplayer >.>
It wouldn't be GEN2
Use some "IVs requested to be retrofitted with the MKIV armor standard in the hopes of embodying the legendary soldiers from the Human-Covenant War" bullshit or something. Resize the models to fit the Spartan IV body type, like they did with MKVI, and it's fair game. I'm not disagreeing with you necessarily; it definitely would have been using a few resources that would have been better managed elsewhere. Just offering alternative thoughts on the subject. <.<

Off-Topic, but every poster on this page (at the time of this post being written) has a Big Boss avatar.
MGS V is going to destroy this forum.

Also the whole "well you're using free software so they have the right to datamine you."
That's the fucking shitties excuse ever. Linux is free and doesn't datamine
It's not "free" if you're making an exchange. The Penguin Group asks for money in return for their books; Google ask for access to your search history in exchange for using their search engine, or permission to view your emails in return for using their email service. If you find a product truly being given away, then that's great. But that doesn't mean restaurants should give their soup away for free because the Soup Kitchen does (edit: actually, the Soup Kitchen doesn't even give away food. They ask that you volunteer as staff in return for the meals you eat. So even in charity, there's a transaction). They tell you what they are asking for, it's your duty as a conscientious consumer to understand your transactions and to act in accordance with what you believe is best for yourself and the population. If this means finding an email and search engine that don't ask for personal information, then so be it.

And I'm done here. Continue the circle jerk of "Lol Right to Privacy" when you both know that there are plenty of methods you can do to make a difference if you so choose.
Complaining here is not one.
K bye bye, have fun shilling out to corporations and a corrupt government. They sure do love all the obedient pawns who willingly give over all their private info AND polish their shoes.
Do people shine shoes anymore?
But if we reopened the market then the aliums would steal it away from hardworking americans

If you agree to provide information in exchange for access to the service (which is nearly always outlined in the T&C or a similarly binding agreement), then you should have no issue with it taking place. They aren't removing your right to privacy, you're selling it in the name of comfort.
Then there should be clearly a different method of exchange.
Some businesses don't require access to your personal information (such as email, spending habits, etc); they require a transaction of monetary value. If you would prefer it to be the latter, invest your attention in businesses that ask for money and boycott the ones who ask for information.

Spoiler so, what did you end up spoiling for yourself, anyway?
Actual big spoiler, do not click at fucking all if you intend to go into the game as a blank slate. Spoiler FINAL WARNING
Poisonous Snack is the medic that jumped in Big Boss' way when Paz exploded. They (being Ocelot, Miller, and everyone else close to Big Boss) gave the Medic reconstructive surgery and brainwashed him into thinking that he is actually Big Boss via hypnosis, drygs, and psychotherapy; and while Venom Snack is off doing Phantom Pain stuff and eventually setting up Outer Heaven for the events of MG1, Big Boss is working on Zanzibar Land.

Who gives a shit? If you don't like it, go back to playing the original unedited games.
Who cares if M Night Shnalymang makes an Avatar 2? If you don't like it, just go back to watching the original cartoon.
That's not actually a good comparison since Shamalamadingdongs adaptation is something different entirely.
Something comparable to CEA would be like if Avatar were rereleased with an updated and more modern art style and you could switch back and forth between the two on the fly. Meaning if you don't like the new art style you're capable if watching it in it's original form easily without even having to interrupt your viewing experience.
But then if you didn't like the new art style (that was heavily shown off prior to release) and you don't feel that the original is worth the price they're asking then the question you have to ask is this.
Why did you buy it if you didn't like it? Not giving people money speaks a whole lot louder than complaining on the internet.
Spoiler This doesn't mean you can't express your distaste. Just don't expect that you're entitled to an audience that gives a fuck.
Part of this is my fault for the way I replied to Deci. I was more frustrated with his "Who cares if people make bad additions to things you like?" attitude than anything else. It's a terrible way to look at things, as it completely disregards alternative views on the subject as just being fucking whiny. The only part of CEA that I don't like is how shitty it runs. It made playing co-op fucking awful.

reading MGS V threads on /v/.
...you were asking for it
I was looking for playlist ideas, and previous to the datamining of the game's script (just happened in the past 24 hours iirc), all we had were scenes from the opening sequence and theories based on an Italian guidebook. Thought it would be safe for some stupid raisin \_(:^()_/

So I just spoiled the twist for myself by reading MGS V threads on /v/. Unfortunate, but I doubt it will ruin my experience since I knew the story of the other MGS games before I played them.
