NFL is at its worst right now. Teams are boring af, and the meta is getting really stale. Needs someone good to come along and shake up how plays are run.

Serious / Re: Espanoles son cabrones (Catalan Independence referundum)« on: October 01, 2017, 10:58:05 PM »
The Spanish government had declared it illegal beforehand, meaning only the people who want independence will show up. They could have just used that to justify not accepting the results; but no, instead they send in the men in green to confiscate ballot boxes and beat the voters bloody. Regardless of whether Catalonia should or shouldn't gain independence (I'm not really informed enough on that to have an opinion), this just wasn't a good look for Spain and it won't help their case in the slightest.

Gaming / Re: Mass Effect (1) Review« on: October 01, 2017, 12:15:58 PM »Yeah, but those are the reasons why I like Mass Effect 1's combat. I like how it feels really fast and loose, even if it isn't spectacular. I really enjoyed it regardless, it just werked. That and when you sprint you don't shoot a thousand miles an hourI legitimately don't see that much of a difference in the combat from 1 to 2the camera typically sits a bit closer to Shepard, but it mostly comes to ME2 having a more developed cover system, a greater variety of weapons (despite having fewer), feedback in the controller and sound design giving weapons more impact, and animations providing more "realistic" movement. The last bit both involves how they move and how long it takes to. Vaulting for instance feels much longer in ME2 than ME1; it's not a bad thing because it fits the pace of combat well, but it loses the charm that ME1 had. 821

The "c". Sentire (Latin) > Sentir (Old French) > Sent > (late 14th century English) > Scent (late Middle English). Takes less than 10 seconds to google fam, the wealth of human knowledge is at your finger tips.

I think my next CIB is going to be Metroid NES. Haven't decided between the black label or yellow label yet, but I'm lm leaning towards black label since I already own metroid yellow CO. Although, the price for that is so low that I might want to do Metroid II before the price gets too high.

Gaming / Re: Mass Effect (1) Review« on: September 30, 2017, 10:22:50 AM »I adore the combat in ME1. It feels so much simpler, and I like the camera angles and movement animations more than those in later games. A destroyer rushing you at a brisk walk is an OH SHIT moment if you weren't expecting it.The best Mass Effect gameEh, that combat does a hell of a job dragging it down. 826
Gaming / Re: Vidya Finds« on: September 30, 2017, 10:16:35 AM »Dare you enter my magical realm? This is the first thing I saw when I looked in their tub of CIB games (they also had Super Mario 64 and Ogre Battle 64, probably going to go back for them later). It has a little bit of shelf-wear on the corners, but that's to be expected for a 23 year old game. Proof that size has always been a selling point. It's crazy to think that 24Mb used to be considered huge. Here's what you came for, though; all her guts spilt, gazing upon her glory. Whoa! back at you, dude. I wish more games nowadays came with this kind of stuff. The number's just customer support now, unfortunately. The manual is in slightly better condition than the box, so we know the box works! Slightly blurry image of Samus on the ToC page. My favorite page of the manual has to be this one. You can definitely see how Samus' armor has evolved over the years, especially her helmet. And here's my cart, snug in the plastic wrap. It's such a satisfying fit in the box! Bonus picture Snake's Revenge on NES. Found her at a game store in Murfreesboro for $45; first CIB I ever bought. Not in great condition, but the game itself isn't great either so it just werks. 828

Gaming / Re: Question« on: September 25, 2017, 08:33:11 PM »That makes sense, I have a 6ft micro-usb that I use to charge my controller/phone. For some reason the controller will only charge if it's plugged into the PS4 though, so I just usually leave it cabled all the time.Just sayin, i find it much more convenient to be able to use both a rechargeable battery and AA batteries on the boner than to be forced into using the rechargeable batter on the ps4. There have been times where i pick up the controller on the PS4 and then realize that i'm going to have to wait another hour or two to actually be able to play because i left the battery on like 10% without realizing it the last time i played. Not to say you don't have a point (xbone controller is better for having removable batteries), but can you not just plug it up to the charging cable? It's what I do when my controller isn't charged. 840
