So, really, nothing that can't be solved by killing ourselves, essentially.
If I understand, it's more taking your punishments in step. Losing your friends in such ways may further put life into perspective in terms of what you need to do to live more godly as an individual and as a community. To use Turkey's (unfortunate) predicament as an example, his friend isn't the one being punished; it's those around her who haven't done God's will accordingly. It's basically a form of plague.

He's mourning Cortana pretty hard
So his only lasting attachments are Halsey and the AI based off of a young Halsey.
So he's a sociopath with an Oedipus Complex?
He see's her as a mother
Spoiler HE LIKES HIS MOTHER ITS JM
inb4 John starts going by the nickname Jim after going AWOL

To be fair he didn't exactly have much time to mourn anyway, what with all the missions and cryo and all that. Also the narrative skipped ahead shortly after IIRC.
Hence my addendum.

All Spartan-IIs are sociopaths.
I wouldn't go that far. It isn't that they lack empathy and remorse or the ability to form emotional bonds, it's that they've been taught not to.
That's generally how sociopaths become sociopaths. It's usually a result of developmental deficits during childhood.
That isn't the point. Spartans most definitely can form bonds and regret their actions in regards to others...but they (usually) don't, at least in regards to non-Spartans. Sociopaths cannot do the same; that's what makes them sociopaths to begin with.
The bonds between Spartans are more akin the comrades than friendships, necessarily. Chief doesn't exactly mourn Sam very long, for example. That could just be another case of the dissonance between the books and games in the Bungie years, but whatever. So really, your point is that sociopathic tendencies is not necessarily sociopathy.

Then just get the 500gB. Hopefully they'll provide the ability to upgrade the capacity if you change your mind later.

Halo is bigger than just John. There's so much stuff, and so many characters that it doesn't need him.
I'd be down for a proper Spartan-III game. Basically ODST but not Halo 3 with health packs and a silenced SMG.
i've been saying i want a headhunter game for years now
Halo Reach made me so sad that there wasn't a Headhunter armor variant. Like fuck, if you won't make them proper S3s from the books, at least let me dress like one.
We don't talk about that game
The LE journal was pretty sweet tho
And I could make my Spartan look tacticool
Stop
Firefight had matchmaking too

If you intend it to be anything other than a Halo machine, I'd advise the 1tB. PS4 can only hold 10 or so games before it fills up, I can assume that the XBO is the same way.

To be fair, evolutionary impulses can detract from a person's ability to think logically. See the huge discussion in Serious about the two female Rangers and why it would negatively affect combat performance to have mixed company in the field That's not the contention he has though. Innate male protectiveness over the female is a separate biological impulse that affects unit cohesion.
Verbatim thinks that just having sexual inhibitions makes someone stupid, when it obviously doesn't.
Just trying to build bridges here, man. If you can't agree, understanding the other's perspective is the next best thing.

Evolutionary impulses does not affect intelligence last I checked.

See the huge discussion in Serious about the two female Rangers and why it would negatively affect combat performance to have mixed company in the field. Exactly something an insane person would say. Wow, Halp 5 is ruined for me (even though I don't own an XBO). Thanks for not spoiler quoting it earlier, jackass.

You know, the whole title rotation doesn't seem nearly as nice when it's changed every hour or so.
3 times.
One for yesterday. One for today (going off of UK time. Eat a dick), and again for the trailer
Wait, didn't this just get made four or so hours ago? Didn't catch it earlier than that.
I posted it at 7:40pm. It's 3:30am.
Ah, so you change it every three hours, give or take an hour.

I still don't get what you people mean by title?

"Halo 5 Countdown Thread" "Relax. I don't want to blah blah Halo quote from something" "Opening cinematic is amazing!"

You created the kinkiest thread in Septagon, congratulations.

Honestly, I apologize if I participated in a thread were Elegiac was told to kill himself over something like that. I can't say that I'm fond of him (or really anyone here, to be completely honest), but that doesn't mean that it's okay to tell someone who is obviously in need of help to kill himself. I'd appreciate it if I was called out on these things, I'm not fond of acting hypocritically.
Now, I don't think that all instances of "kill yourself" are used seriously. I don't think that Verbatim has ever honestly intended for someone to throw himself out of a window or to generally cause bodily harm. Likewise, if someone's told to end it because he said that he liked Twin Snakes more than the original MGS, it's clearly used as a sentence enhancer because they want to talk all fancy. The important thing is making it 100% clear that you do not intend the threat seriously in any form. This is one of a very select few instances where a black and white understanding is the only viable way to go about it other than blanket disdain.
Yeah, I'm not really referring to the whole kill yourself "meme" or whatever, but more in cases like Nexus to Saladin or Challenger to Elegiac.
Then I completely agree with you. We (The Community) can't selectively enforce these things just because we like some people more than others.
My experience on the coup staff says otherwise.
Well, "can" isn't the right word; shouldn't is more accurate. And I realize that it's hard thing to do, because everyone here is a real human bean that forms ideas and preferences based on their experiences; but that doesn't mean we can't try to be less partial in who we tell to kill themself, right?
You've grown up, babe.
Kill yourself.
Look in the mirror and realize your circumstances. What you do based upon that is left to your discretion, but I recommend murder-suicide.
Shall we hold each other underwater then?
That's unfair, you'd enjoy it if I held you under water.

All commies have suicidal depression, it's a symptom of the Red Menace.
