I'm actually interested in playing the Splinter Cell games. How and where do I start?
I'd say start with the first game (Splinter Cell) just so you can really enjoy how fucking good Chaos Theory is. Pandora Tomorrow after Chaos Theory. Play Double Agent if you still really want a SC stealth game, Conviction if you want action. Blacklist is still more actiony than the Xbox SC games, but it's definitely better than Double Agent or Conviction.

Iwas talking about the older games you dipshit LOL Why bring up the NES games then? My original post referred to MGS, which was still before Splinter Cell. Because you're too much of a fanboy.
I mean I'm literally arguing with a bunch of people that have a man crush on the protagonist. Don't see what that has to do with this, especially considering that I never even played MGS until a few years ago. Gameplay-wise, Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow fucking blow MGS1 through MGS3 out of the water. I just can't help but feel like you're just calling me a fanboy to avoid explaining yourself. LOL HE THINKS CONVICTION IS BETTER THAN DOUBLE AGENT ROFLMAO The Sam Fisher reboot is ass, and is totally more action-based, but it was much better than the turd that was Double Agent. Chaos Theory forever the best SC game. The gunplay is similar to SC. That's my point. As of MGS4, yeah. But I don't see why "similar" means "copied". bruh
The game took a totally new direction gameplay wise which was heavily inspired by Splinter Cell. Stop being such a fanboy. The only "totally new direction" was MGSV, which could definitely be called out for copying Far Cry's open world gameplay. But sure, you can just keep saying that it's heavily inspired by SC over and over without expanding upon anything. That's because Splinter Cell doesn't cater to casual players like MGS does. Octocamo is casual as shit, especially with the mask. But Survival Menu is literally a backpack/healing mini-game with face/uniform camo choices. LOL at thiking there's anything casual about that. Using your brain helps.
Stealth movement. Moving slow to not make floorboards creak. What a coincidence! That's been in Metal Gear since MGS2. If you go back a page, you might remember that came out before Splinter Cell. :^) HAHAHAHAHAHA You fucking fanboy.
They robbed Splinter Cell's style big time because they saw it works and it works far better than their clusterfuck of a game.
So the only thing you have going for your argument is that they both have a third person camera. It's confirmed everybody, Splinter Cell robbed the Banjo Kazooie style.
