And I don't see how Japan is that weeby. It's an entertaining comic book that I read, it's not like I really discuss much about it or try cosplay.
from what i've seen, it just takes all the worst tropes of weebshit and takes them up to 11
particularly the over-the-top action, exaggeratedly ridiculous artstyle, and the homoeroticism
There's definitely a ton of homoeroticism, but I could just watch FatF if I wanted that.

And what tropes do you mean?

what about your peppering of japanese phrases/emoticons here and there

i guess you don't do that as much nowadays

but you still like shows like jojo, which is like...
the weebiest anime ever, right

pretty much
Haven't done that in awhile, unless you could the shrug emote. But that's because it just conveys the tone better than *action* phrases imo.

And I don't see how Jojo is that weeby. It's an entertaining comic book that I read, it's not like I really discuss much about it or try cosplay.

I'm not even that weeby tbh.
i'll be the judge of that

Literally no. I wanted to learn Japanese because it's an incredibly different language from a completely different cultural background. Ich spreche Deutsch statt, ja?

You have to be tall enough to ride a rollercoaster to post in this thread, Tru.

i could have sworn that's what you told me originally

maybe you were joking
I'm pretty sure that I listed it as a perk of learning Japanese, but not a reason. That'd be like learning Italian just to read the Divine Comedy. Like yeah, you could, but that seems like a lot of effort for something that can be done MUCH easier by just reading a translation.

Ohh, so you're a hipster weeb now.
No, I just got taste and stopped watching moeblob messes.

I like to think Venom Snake was talking about his appearance when he was talking about becoming a demon.

"Kaz...look at my sweet-ass horn. I look like a fuckin' demon. Other men can only dream of pulling this off."
Apparently the Japanese script has an off-quip that his horn makes him look like an Oni, so that's actually what he probably meant.

If I invited you to a party would you
a)stay home
b)come and be that guy who's sober all night
c)chill out with a brew cause yer with me
d)chill out and hook up with some sloot
e)gay sex with DAS
Well it's Verb, so C and E are both correct answers.

Out of curiosity, is there anyone other than Verb and I who choose to abstain from all drugs? I don't call myself straight edge because only UltraHomoMaximumGays use that term. The only "drug" I use is caffeine which I would rather not use but I'm not very concerned about it right now.
I don't use anything
Only if you don't consider memes a drug.

Ergh, it's a shame I have to design a kid's book for my homework project. I wish I could just hand in MGS pics and be like 'yeah, kids would love this stuff!'
Ooh, what is your kid's book going to be about?
Asci fi story about  a cobbled together team of bounty hunters who travel the galaxy

Basically every sci fi ever but it's MINE
I'm doing an animation pitch for my class
Spoiler
It's just a simple story about an evil witch stirring her pot with a malicious smile however, the mob arrives and drags her out of her house and have her baptized with fire, this will be shown with shadows.

But it will have one final shot without shadows that will show the pot with food and next to it a baby crying because he's hungry & wants his. (The "evil witch" wasn't really a witch but an innocent mother framed by someone for reasons unknown.) I'll be presenting this to my class-mates on Monday.
That sounds pretty dank/dark. Dankark. Darnk. Danrk.

7548
So the guy is still a jackass.

If it's an Alpha build, then balancing issues are perfectly acceptable. I mean, it's just a matter of the weapons not being balanced yet for live gameplay. That's why they have internal testing before they release playable builds to the public.

'horse armor'-gate
do i wanna know
Back when Oblivion was still a thing, Bethesda released a shit DLC called "horse armor" that was $2.50. Just armor for your horse, and your horse was useless in that game because you went just as fast, if not faster than the horse.

It's not become associated with useless and overpriced DLC.
Not to mention that horse-armor is credited with kickstarting the trend of releasing a multitude of smaller DLC pieces rather than large expansions.

also, i noticed you don't have portable ops listed

that would be the next game released in the canon

unless you don't want to get it (even though you have peace walker listed)
Portable Ops is semi-canon; as Kojima stated, the bigger picture of events in the game are canon (Big Boss conducting various operations with his renegade FOX unit), but no the specific events within are noncanon. So in terms of playing the games in sequence, there's not really a point in playing Portable Ops considering the subjectivity of its canon status.

Right, and we can't have Catholic presidents either because then the US would become a puppet of the Pope.

Just gonna note something

Most US wars(not counting recent Iraq, Iran, terrorist wars) is where the US joined in, not really starting(except 1).
Two if you count the Revolutionary War.
I'm REALLY tired of this "everyone who fights an established regime is a terorist" meme
I didn't say anything about terrorism, if that's what you're implying. The Revolutionary War was a war that the US started, as was the War of 1812.

I would buy it, yes. I'd hate myself for it but I already hate myself, so nothing to lose there.

I reckon this'll be one of the last times I buy DLC, considering I'm on my way to departing from games anyways.
I'd get it just because I can't miss out on going to Iraq, Mozambique, or Tselinoyarsk. Especially if Sniper Wolf or Frank Jaeger made appearances (I refuse to believe Sniper Wolf wouldn't be in an Iraq segment).

I just want David to show up in some capacity tbh.

A next-gen Frank Jaeger would be sick, though.
Unless they put in the USA segment that was cut during storyboarding, there's no way we'd see David. He lived a very normal life until his Green Beret days, and even then nothing really freaky happened until Operation Intrude N313. At most, we'd see a glimpse of him during some mission kind of like Georgia Washington during the Haythem segment of AC3.

i'm surprised/disappointed at those results

why do people not realize that DLC is a scam
If people paid $60 for two chapters, then $60 for three chapters would be at least equivalent in terms of value.

They definitely should have been in the game, but they weren't. At least we would know that a third or so of Chapter 3 and the  all of Chapter 4 and 5 would be made post-launch and not just delayed content.

I set up a poll earlier on 4chan. If any of you would like to: either spread it around like cancer, or just vote in it yourself. That's for you to decide.
