My Red-Headed Mexican

Parrots are fuckin' evil.
Wait what?
Has a red head, and the species is native to Mexico. The name's pretty straightforward, really.

My Red-Headed Mexican likes to ask people to pet him. When they try, he bites their finger and starts laughing.

Parrots are fuckin' evil.
The start of that sentence threw me for a loop lol.

They're also called Red-Crowned Amazons, Green-Cheek Amazons, etc. That's just the most fun name to use because it confuses people.

I left off the game 2-1 Mets in the 9th. The fuck happened?
Matt Harvey stayed in the game, the Royals tied up the game.

Game went into extras until the 14th when Kansas City exploded and scored 5 runs to secure the win.
Holy shit, I thought Familia was replacing Dark Knight at switch? Did he stay in all 14 innings?
No, they took out Familia in the 10th I think. The Royals scored their runs in the 14th on Reed and Colon. Also, Daniel Murphy botched another play that could have ended that inning and left the score at 3 to 2.
Fuuuck. I'm glad that my next/last day at my current job is Saturday; boss is a huge Mets fan and he's going to be really pissed for quite a while at that.

Queen sized bed with a comforter, but I'd be just as comfortable on a twin. I curl up and hold a pillow when I sleep anyways, I never use the entire bed.

The Flood / Re: Why Are Group Projects a Thing?
« on: November 01, 2015, 10:47:38 PM »
I had to be a part of a group paper. Sounds weird but it actually went really well.
Group things are cool if they are graded individually and everyone does their part. I just think that it's too likely that, if you're assigned to a group with five other people, at least one person is going to try to literally do nothing but put their name on it.

Yeahhhhh, I feel you.

They're supposed to promote teamwork and build friendships and all that other bullshit, but what professors don't seem to realize is that you can't force two or three or four people to work together--which is why people should be given the choice to work alone if they so choose.

Fuck peer reviews--I'm the only person in the universe who actually puts any effort into editing my fellow students' papers, it seems. People don't even leave comments, because no one gives a fuck. Useless.
And when they do put effort into it, they have no idea what the fuck they are talking about. A quarter of the annotations are just fucking wrong ("you have a fragment here!" when it's grammatically correct), two-thirds are just unnecessary praise ("Oh, I really liked that sentence!"), and then that last ~0.08% is a silly error you would have caught when you went over it yourself before submitting it.

Oh god damn.
Actually if you have decent people presenting with you I find they make it easier.
But for work outside of that. Yea... screw that.
One of my friends had the class this semester; in the last project, one group member (assigned, not chosen, by the way) didn't pay attention to the script and ended up stealing two other members' parts.

Guess who didn't get a good grade on the presentation?

It's one of the reasons why I chose to switch my major to PolSci. My history and polsci teachers have their shit straight; no group projects, no three-page essay exams in-class, very little online fuckery. If I have to spent the next three years on a degree, I'd prefer one that cuts out all the bullshit.

When group projects are graded it shouldn't be on the group as a a whole... which makes group projects useless....
It's stupid.
I'm going to have to take a communications class next year. Four or so group projects that involve filming a piece plus an in-person presentation on which the entire group is graded as a whole.

I might just kill myself after Christmas, just to be safe.

Absolutely everybody despises them. Why the fuck would any right-minded professor fuck with this horseshit? That or mandatory peer review; as I'm making this thread, I have a paper due in 24 hours and not a single fucking member of my group has shown me their paper nor has anyone reviewed mine. I'm going to be real fuckin' pissed if I get docked points because these assbags didn't give enough of a god damn to post a rough draft.

I like the pastel color scheme they have going on, and it meshes well the the clean shading and smooth texturing. It's not 4k photorealism, but somehow I doubt that was the intention.

A woman came in three months after Easter and bought all of the discount holiday items. Three shopping carts, stacked double high. Everything was like $100.

You should just kill people instead of banning them. They can't complain if they are dead.
But then they'll just haunt you and shit
Not if you sell their souls to demons on the black market

Do you want to deal with this shit and argue with tards on a forum, rather than arguing with tards you want to argue with here?
But bannu
Trust me, the enjoyment you get from serving the ban is shortly quashed by the screaming and whining that goes on afterwards.

Nothing wrong with walking simulators. Gone Home didn't deserve GOTY awards, though.

It's obviously nowhere near the level of acceptance of women wearing masculine clothing, but I feel like men crossdressing or wearing feminine clothing is more "okay" now than it used to be. They still get a lot of flak, but I don't think I've ever seen someone call RuPaul's Drag Race the work of Satan.

I dunno. Some of my best guy-friends are v-neck and skinny shorts wearing, man-bun having metrosexual assholes. Maybe I'm just not exposed enough to that to the hatred in Western society.

6509
We have a fundamental disagreement then. I'd rather actually, ya know, play it.
Which is why I'll probably cave in and buy it before the physical version eventually releases.

I also tend to buy physical music as well, actually. I have a stack of thirty-something CDs and a few vinyls sitting on my shelf at the moment, excluding all the others I have packed away somewhere and in my car. I never really feel like I own something unless I can physically touch it.

6510
I really would like a physical edition of this tbh. I'll probably cave and buy it on Steam later, but I hate that it's only available digitally.
Why? I don't get this sentiment at all. Indie games won't GO physical because of how much distribution costs. No one is going to steal your games, and they won't disappear. Just get them digitally.

The same people who are against digital games, get digital music. It's the same crap.
People who donated $70 during the kickstarter got a physical version. Toby has also said he would like to do a physical release during a Q&A, but never elaborated beyond that.

It's not a question of "if", it's "when" and "how much". I'd just hate to buy it digitally then have a physical release be announced.

Also I'm a boxfag. The box is the best part of buying a game.
