The devil's lettuce is whatever. Time perception would occasionally get fucky, losing track of conversation, attention focused oddly. Not really bothered with it in some time for obvious reasons, and also because it's just unnecessary. 4/10.
DXM was like being tipsy for half an hour. Never got CCC, although it would have probably had more of an impact. 2/10.

That's what I've been doing for every recruit that ranks up.
I wasn't sure if you created a set of characters before you started the game or not.

ME 2 and ME 3 are both dual-disc. One disc is the MQ type stuff and the other disc is everything else. It's a bit jarring when you have to get up and swap when starting a mission, and it's why they're not on XB1 yet (They haven't figured out multi-disc games yet)
Import the character. You can use all weapons in ME2 as a soldier, IIRC, and your decisions from ME1 will cross over (Rachni Queen, save/ kill the council etc)
You didn't advise him on picking the best waifu though.
