On a scale of dehydrated to migraine, how badly does your head hurt? Depends on how early you catch one. Grandmother had a stroke, and she called an ambulance and got to a hospital before she could sustain any permanent damage. He's probably not, but it's never a bad idea to be cautious.

The political background of the OT is a reference to the Nazi's and WWII,
The heavy handed and blatant black and white symbolism is one of my biggest complaints about Lucas. Moral ambiguity and grey zones were why the EU exploded with such popularity in the 00's. Stories got much more interesting then.
You can sum the OT as "Flash Gordon serial, but about samurai with laser swords and space nazis." I love the OT, but you can't honestly say that it's an original work. It drew inspiration from major events and works from George's childhood.

Like I said, it's more like "Anakin has no idea how to flirt without sounding like some Shakespeare knockoff" than anything. I like to think it's one of the com bits in George Lucas's Star Wars II: Attack of the Romcom.
He's a fucking teenager who's never been in love before. Of course he's awkward about it. That's what makes it so good, because you can relate to it. Everyone has said goofy shit to one of their crushes before.
The only thing you can really argue to say that the line is shitty is that it has no place in a Star Wars movie, which, I don't think I need to explain why that's irrational.
Calm yer britches there. I just said that I'm half-sure it was supposed to be bad. The comedy in the romcom storyline that took up way too much of the movie.

And Vader isn't original in any way. He's a Mifune-type Samurai character. Hell, you could go as far as to say that the Sith can be traced back to Mifune's tough-as-nails samurai portrayals under Kurosawa.
Hell, Mifune was offered the role of Vader in the first place (and alternatively, Obi-Wan).
