Also if you're going to align with a faction either side with the BoS or the Institute. No spoilers but they're the only factions with genuine substance to their storyline's. The Minutemen are just a gameplay framework for settlement building and The Railroad has a shitty pay off. I made the mistake of siding with the latter only because I wanted to keep their companion. Next character I roll will be faithful to Elder "purge the mutant" Maxson.
Being a triple Agent was pretty fun to be honest. I honestly forgot at one point which faction I was actually aligning myself with.

There was no discussion. The forum was dead, you were forced to be apart of IRC or you weren't "really" part of the community. Shounen threads were locked because "Hurr Durr gateway animes of the worst kind" meme bullshit. Someone had an honest question about torrenting or streaming? "HURR LURK MORE". And don't you dare talk about Crunchyroll, that's bannable. If everyone wanted /a/ so badly they should have just gone back to 4chan. I'm not saying it's wrong to have inside jokes or whatever, but when people bitched to me about how "dead" the place was but then complained IMMEDIATELY AFTER about how I was advertising on the mains, that's completely hypocritical.
Sitting around and saying an anime community is wrong because it should have focused on anime first and meme spouting second is objectively a problem. And to tell me I should just get up and leave after I spent time there trying to make the community better? Don't tell a bridge keeper to fuck off while smashing the pillars supporting it.

The fun times were during Bungie.net's waning days, and directly after when irc was all that was left of the community. There was a lot of actual anime/manga discussion at that point; for whatever was intended, it died as an anime community. Take about 20% off there, pal. I don't know if we are talking about TACs here, but I never had a problem with literally any of that. Any time I needed help with something, someone would give an answer. I'll take a shot in the dark and guess that you're a little bitter about how things happened; honestly, I only popped in occasionally to the actual group. The IRC will always be TAC to me, and I have too many fond memories of late night discussions and movie nights to say that it was a terrible place. You had your Bungie group experiences, but I can tell you that the IRC was a different world. Streaming is shit tho

This is ultimately the problem, it became something completely different than what was intended of the group. It was literally just 4chan with Bungie skin which is pointless. They talked about how they were gonna sub an SYD OVA, but all they did was make joke /g/ captures. If you have nostalgic memories of the place, chances are you were part of the problem.

If one reads their own blueprint, they know intimately why each detail is present down to the miniscule. If one reads another's blueprint, they can see the ultimate goal and make inferences of what each part is intended to do; however, they do not truly know the work. That's the issue with Bethesda. Regardless of the game's quality, it shows an outsider's understanding of a work. It's why most FO fans prefer New Vegas to FO3, the lead writer for FO2 worked on it and was able to provide a better insight on what makes a game a Fallout game. It's why I can say that FO4 is a pretty good game, but I would be lying if I said it was one of the best Fallout titles if only because Bethesda's trying less and less to properly try at a Fallout game rather than a game with a Fallout title.
