If I was a better person, in a better situation I probably wouldn't eat meat. But I don't see what that has to do with why people think eating cow is okay but racoon is gross.

I think you would agree that the specifics are less important than the general in this instance. If someone abuses a dog, does it matter if it's a dachshund or a poodle? I'm just saying I'm not going to care if you want to eat a nasty-ass crow; veggies are veggies, meat is meat, soylent green is people. I just don't think anybody should be surprised when I don't want to nibble off of Toucan Sam's leg.

TBPH, I do have a problem with sport hunters. The assholes who kill an animal just for the thrill of killing it. My grandfather went moose hunting one year, and guess what we ate exclusively for 6 months? Fucking moose meat. If you plan to hunt, bring it home and eat it, not just the head or rack.
but people who hunt for food enjoy it, so hunting for food is the same thing as hunting for sport /s
