You PCucks never had a problem with procedural generation when it was shit like Daggerfall that gives you leet nerd hipster cred to say you like.
Why is it so hard to believe some people just suspend disbelief, say fuck it and enjoy it for what it is?
Why are you all high functioning autistic people with stem degrees? Why is the profile always so uniform?

This game, man.
I barely thought it would live up to the hype, let alone exceed it. I've been playing for four hours straight across only two systems and about five planets/moons, and it has been absolutely and utterly humbling. My breath is being taken away at every turn.
I just drowned trying desperately to make my way out of a dark underwater cave on a cold, lonely, massive planet, with ominous growling startling me from far across some rocky, eroded mountains against the backdrop of a massive dark blue system. Earlier I was marveling at a herd of grazing antelope-like creatures on a little yellow paradise of a moon with a pink sky. Creatures were screeching in the distance and tinkling piano chords played in the background.
I very much appreciate the technical and leveling aspects such as mining and trading, but most of all, this game has been an extremely emotional experience for me so far. I could barely pull myself away from my first system once I acquired the warp cell. No matter what I'm looking at, I have this excitement and this wonder and frustration that I am inevitably missing so much. I have never, EVER felt this lost. Space just beckons, wordlessly. What a beautiful, beautiful, titanic game. I have no words.
Enjoy, everyone. And thank you, Sean and Hello Games. Jeez Louise.

Simon Pegg
He's a real person I thought. Or have I been mistaken this entire time?
Simon Pegg was created by British Intelligence to infiltrate and direct the course of pop culture.

i agree that their cartoon gimmick is a little corny
what kills their music for me though is when they have some shitty rap verse in the middle of a song
no disrespect to De La Soul, but the rap verse on feel good inc. is fucking terrible
It works more than it doesn't. November Clint Eastwood Stylo All Alone Dirty Harry

Super understandable that Nintendo would hit it with a DMCA. They still have plans to resell NES and SNES games for the next 80 years.
Game hasn't been touched. A fansite got a DMCA notice from a lawyer (not NoA or NoJ firsthand), and no follow up has been made on it. edit:

According to DoctorM64 (AM2R Creator), he hasn't been hit with a DMCA by email or otherwise.
Apparently the DMCA was filed by a Brian Sniffen, located in Oregon (so this isn't Jason Allen, obsessive ex-Nintendo employee). His law firm has represented Nintendo in the past, but whether he has acted at the behest of Nintendo has not been established.
Even if he has, it's confusing that they didn't issue one to the actual source of the fangame. They DMCA the MetroidDb, a fansite hosting a mirror, instead of a C&D on development and distribution and they've completely ignored the creator. Something's weird about this.

I feel like they elaborated on Samus too much and felt she had to have some iron resolve to justify how bad ass she is. Just pull a Master Chef. He's a stronk dude who went through training and will always be stronk.
I mean, she's a bounty hunter. You ain't gotta expand on shit, it's all in the name.

Quick question before I post something.
This playthrough has been 95% blind, which is pretty pure, and I'd like to maintain that--but, without spoiling too much, it's become apparent to me that there are a lot more boss weapons I can make than I initially thought. I figured one boss soul would translate to just one boss weapon. As it turns out, there are many, and there are certainly some that I'm not even aware of.
Would it be acceptable, then, to look up all of the boss weapons I can produce with the souls that I have? I don't really want to burn these souls on something that I may not end up liking, so looking them up would take away that fear--but it would also compromise a little bit of blindness. So, I dunno.
What do?
Dark Souls is built around the idea of community effort; it's not like playing Fallout or Half-Life where looking up the answers is "cheating". I'd say that it was likely a design intention for players to share that kind of information. Briefly then: don't feel like you need to ask about it, but don't count it against yourself if you do.

Think of Fallout 3, except the story was destroyed not by some unfamiliar third party--but the man himself, Yoshio Sakamoto, who wrote all the previous Metroid games, too. He's basically regarded by Metroid fans as the George Lucas of video games. Once great, but not so much anymore.
Gunpei Yokoi was the Gary Kurtz to Sakamoto's George Lucas. AKA, soon after he stopped producing the games (because death, rip Yokoi), everything Sakamoto touched dropped in quality. Not to say everything after was bad (Fusion, Zero Mission), but there's definitely a shift in direction. Hell, just look at the stealth sequence in Zero Mission. It takes two seconds to figure out whose idea that was.

Did Other M more or less kill the series? I haven't heard much from it every since. Also, I can play Zero Mission instead, yes?
Other M is fanfic-tier. According to Miyamoto, the only way he wants a Metroid game is Prime-style. Said that he's got NSMB for 2D platformers, so he wouldn't care to produce another 2D Metroid. RIP the Gameboy, 2D Metroid died with it.

If you listen closely, you can hear Verb freaking out
It's been in the works for about 9 years iirc, so Nintendo has had ample time to C&D it. You can only assume that, since they've let it release, they must silently approve.
