tell me what you think is good in the world and i'll tell you precisely why it's actually bad
hearing people say what they think is good in the world and then telling them precisely why it's actually bad
could easily have adverse effects

people have always had different ways of processing uncomfortable truthsā€”some can handle it, others can't

perhaps for some, the notion that there's anything good in the world is all that's keeping them happy, sane, or away from toxic ideologies like nihilism, which is not really something i'd want to take away from anyone

that's not to say these people should be lied to, but it's not always necessary to be so blunt about the iniquities and imperfections of life, and in a lot of cases, the only ones some people will hear the truth from are themselves
You're wrong because being wrong is the worst thing someone can be, so you ought to educate them.

See? Feels great
i can think of worse
More likely than not, it falls under the umbrella term "wrong".
surely you'd have to recognize, though, that there's often better ways of educating people than just simply informing them that they're wrong, thereby making the endeavor a waste of time in a majority of cases

if someone were to ask me what's so bad about something, it's not like i'm always gonna be able to convince themā€”i'm not a master of persuasion, unless you're suggesting that's something i ought to become (or is even possible to become)
Just stating that someone's wrong isn't the case being argued, though; it is a case of precisely explaining why they are wrong. Which, in and of itself, lends more to the idea that you are communicating a correct rationality and educating them as to their wrongness.

Spoiler
This is also a lot of hubbub around a joke
Too bad that person won`t change it view, if he/she don`t want to, and it would be waste of time.

Spoiler
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink. Whether the person who is wrong learns is irrelevant; you still ought to inform and educate them.

I'm pretty sure 90% of their discography has been used as music in commercials, so that says everything I think needs to be said about them.

Not really. And being wrong is not the worst thing someone can be, not wanting to fix wrong things is worst for both person and you.

And you not gonna always feel better after it, because fixing wrong stuff in others is painful for them and you hurt people either way, however it is necessary, because people get stronger after it and they become more competent in what they were wrong.
The concepts are not mutually exclusive: not wanting to fix wrong things is wrong.

Feelings are temporary, perfection is eternal.

I guess you have to expand your list from top 5 to top 10 now.
We live in a world where Verb will have a top 10 favorite anime list. Truly this is the darkest timeline.

The Flood / Re: Should Rosanne have been canceled?
« on: May 30, 2018, 09:40:40 AM »
Roseanne Barr is a piece if shit, but the show was pretty good. Unfortunate for Goodman, Gilbert, and the rest of the cast and crew for the cancellation.
