gen 3 is the most overrated generation
Eh It's a good average to compare other Pokémon games to. It's not amazing, but it didn't do anything awful either. Pokémon designs were good (see: Aggron), but it definitely laid out the foundation for future design philosophy with Pokémon like Skitty and Latias/Latios. The environments were varied enough that it didn't feel like a lot of the same, but too much water 8.8/10. It added mechanics to make the game easier via EXP share and other things, but the way they put it in made it only slightly easier. Still set the games up to be the pushover they are today. Again, all in all, a solid 6/10. Nothing spectacular, but it wasn't a bad follow-up to Gen II.

Sean said countless of times that you'll rarely ever even see anyone... so what did you expect? It's a big game. And it was obviously going to be single player, but people are now throwing tantrums because they don't get to bring friends. So fucking what? Why can't you guys just enjoy the single player for what it is? You're being super rude about this and the developers are going through an extremely painful time. Just think of all the work they put into it, and you're just shitting all over it with no regard. Seriously, how hard is it? For you... to just enjoy it as intended? You just HAD to have another tortanic because some poor dev with no PR experience gave a bit of false info. Well I hope you sleep well at night because your little shitstorm is crashing this game. What if it was part of their plan to add multiplayer later on, but now it won't happen because it bombed? These guys did an amazing job and if you read their forums you'll see they have a lot of loyalty towards the community. It's a shame you had to ruin such a beautiful thing. This board is fucking atrocious right now. You're all acting like a bunch of whiny, entitled little babies.
A tiny team of people made an entire universe for you to explore. They made it for YOU, and they're going to wake up tomorrow morning and see that instead of enjoying it, this community of "fans" picked out the 3 or 4 things that weren't perfect and are using that to fucking riot.
Guess what? The game was never going to be perfect. It was never going to live up to your hype. It was never going to be everything you'd ever want in a game.
What it WAS going to be was an impossibly big universe filled with mysteries and weird shit I just played it for 2 hours and it was exactly that. What more do you want?
Is it buggy? Sure. Is it repetitive? Maybe. Is the inventory system imperfect and the multiplayer feature questionable and the structure unclear? Sure, fine.
But holy shit what do these people OWE YOU?
How fucking entitled do you have to be to explore an infinite universe in a spaceship and then say "yeah but..."
We should all be fucking weeping in our chairs right now at the sheer size and scale of the achievement. We should be showering the people behind this thing with the praise they deserve for pulling off one of the most inspiring games in recent memory.
Hello Games doesn't owe you the world. Yet they gave you 18 QUINTILLION of them.
