people are really this mad about an indie kickstarter game that wasnt even bad
2016 is wild
The fact that it was a kickstarter game, entirely funded by fans, is a perfectly valid reason to be upset about it.
0 - Content (Witcher 3) 1 - Apathetic (Titanfall) 2 - Mildly disappointed (Super Smash Bros. for Wii U) 3 - Disappointed (The Order: 1886) 4 - Majorly disappointed (Destiny) 5 - Upset (No Man's Sky--where it should be) 6 - Angry (Duke Nukem Forever) 7 - Livid (Mass Effect 3) 8 - Vindictive (No Man's Sky--where it is) 9 - Apoplectic ()
you're absolutely correct: no man's sky is a 4-5 at best in this hierarchy of mad i just pulled out of my ass
but during the first month of its life, it's riding snugly in the 8 range, and it shouldn't be
you can be upset about the game all you want, but NO ONE should be angry--let alone vindictive
people are just babies, the end
Mass Effect 3 should be at least a 3 on that list.
Fans redirected their anger over ME3 into a St Jude charity drive that earned $80,000 in two weeks. The outrage was front page news on yahoo too, as I remember it. People were upset enough that they made a DLC epilogue to make it a little better. "Upset" would have been it being mocked for a week and then everybody forgetting its existence until they see it for $5 in a bargain bin. ME3 is a solid 7.

Todd Howard is a pioneer in gaming you idiots
You're such a kind soul, defending a man that's down on his luck. Be a pal and buy my game?

That's, like, fucking ridiculous, man. Hello Games created an entire universe for gamers and they, being entitled as per usual, threw it back in the company's face! How ungrateful! I don't know him personally, but I, Brawn Flurry, do know for sure that Sean Murray devoted his life to making this masterpiece a reality. He doesn't deserve this.
maybe one day, this meme will be funny
I agree, fuck that guy for making fun of talented, hardworking developers like Sean Murray and of course, Todd Howard. People like him should be banned from video games.
Hey, I got a Game Lovers Special here, courtesy of Todd Howard. That'll be $59.99.

If someone can pass all of the standards as they are, then they should be able to serve; If they can't, they shouldn't. AF Pilot standards shouldn't be lowered because I don't have 20/20, but if I did then I'd sure as hell hope I was considered (all else not-withstanding).

tfw you get to the end of a console's (artificially shortened) life and remember you only made 4 games and need to shift units real fucking quick
tfw the new console supposedly launches in five months
WHAT
If you go by rumors, Q1 2017. If you go by historic trends, April/May 2017. So five is a slight exaggeration; six months is more accurate. All that we can confirm is that it uses cartridges since that's what Nintendo's contracted hardware producer is making.

Your logic makes no sense.
I actually worry that you have some sort of horrible mental illness sometimes.
Maybe actually explain why you disagree? Men in fiction, even the attractive ones, aren't defined by their looks. They're defined by their personal traits, whether that's resourcefulness, ingenuity, charisma, etc. That's not the same for women.
I would disagree there, if only that the stereotype that Anita's partially railing against in this video is the idea that women are evil in their sexuality; the evil woman is always cunning and manipulative, etc. Even Shakespeare uses women who are resourceful, smart, charismatic, etc. Throwing a bunch of character traits doesn't make someone "realistic" or "progressive", writing characters who don't act like walking templates does. I'd argue that this is a problem nearly all video games have, and at YA fiction levels of bad for male AND female characters.

Im not trying to be a dick. Im just tilted because a 46 on my team tried to tank when he had little to no tank time and we got stompped. He never switched to counter.
At a certain point, experience won't teach you anything else. You need to start seeing your faults and fix them; that could take weeks or minutes. That 46 hadn't fixed his faults. Maybe now that it happened, he'll QP and practice his tanks. If not, he'll have the same problem at 100 as he did 46.

I'm not really feeling this one. While you might have a valid critique on the mindset of Greek men in classical antiquity, I don't think it all holds the same meaning today.
Pretty much this. Nowadays, the perversion of beauty is the goal nowadays. Like children's dolls in poor condition. Change the context, change the perception.

They need to raise Competative's experience level requirement from 25 to 50. 25 is too low.
30 is fair imo. That's like 25ish hours? If you haven't figured the game out after that much play time, you're hopeless.
it sucks having a sub 50 lvl on your team, they just havent seen enough of the bullshit this game can throw at you. Especially in Dimond/Plat tier.
tfw 38 POTG on Hollywood/Kings Row every time as Rein for standing on the objective and killing anyone who gets close

What's the penalty for leaving a game? I feel like it isn't harsh enough, people do it left and right. Out of my last six comp matches, two were draws, two had people quit right out of the gate, and two had people leave after losing the first objective.
I think first is grace, second is 10 mins, then 30 then an hour then 7 hours then a day then week/perma
I don't know for certain but that's what one fellow i was playing with said his bantime looked like (got a little satly)
10 minutes is too low tbh. You can play a round of QP then hop right back on with the same toxic behavior. I love the idea of competitive; it attracts the people who want to be serious and leaves out super-new players and people who want to meme around. But it attracts the worst of the crowd too: people with hair-trigger tempers and know-it-alls who think you'll only win if you use the exact stack that he wants. In addition, the matchmaking system doesn't help; skunks snowball into skunks, and losses snowball into more losses. Blizzard needs to decide if this is a game where you play a few rounds a day, or a game where you practice at if for hours at a time.

it sucks when the one class your team needs also happens to be your least favorite character, though
so do you play as your favorite character whom you actually like, or someone who will actually help the team
50% of my playtime is as support, so I think that answers the question.
