It isn't healthy if done too much, but I don't think that's reason to stop people from watching it entirely. Let people do their own thing  and hope they'll realize that too much of anything is bad.

tbh I don't know why people are comparing this to the ps4/xb1. The switch is just a glorified handheld.

They've always dominated that market and it's where they should stay, rather than produce another garbage home console.

The point of the Switch is that it's a home console and handheld. Regardless of its actual performance, it will receive comparisons based on its advertised uses.

Also it would be boring as fuck to compare it to handhelds. It'll obviously outpower the 3DS, and the Vita is dead and has a 544p screen. At least it inspires discussion as a console.

Nvidia Tegra GPU, so it won't be as powerful as the XB1 or PS4, but it'll be better than the Wii U.

I'm also holding out in case there ends up being a 3DS successor, because I'd rather not have to get a Switch

Switch looks like a replacement for the Wii U and 3DS. Another handheld would mean that it would compete with the Switch for sales.

Also means that the handheld support might move to the Switch, meaning the system should maintain a solid level of support even if EA or Ubisoft left it alone.

Speaking of, I had to call the police on someone for the first time the other night. Some dude was just blaring music in his truck at 3:00 AM, and that was the one night where I didn't feel like depriving myself of sleep. But I wouldn't have done anything had I not noticed that he was also tweaking the fuck out--which sealed his fate for me. Where I live, there are swaths of methheads that only come out at night--but this one was over-the-top obnoxious.

So, I watched as the cops came and told him to fuck off--but not before the tweaker asked where the call was coming from. And for some bloody ass-fucked reason, the officer actually answered him, pointing his flashlight directly at my house--something he literally can't do, but did anyway. The little miscreant slithered off, but now he knows where the guy who called the police on him lives. Thanks, officer!

I still can't believe he did that shit, but it's been two weeks, and nothing has really happened since then. Still, it's hard not to be a little paranoid over having some tweaked-out loser skulking around my neighborhood at night with a bone to pick. Fucking creeps.

Fuck meth-heads. My city has been a hot-spot of drug trafficking for years, predominately meth, heroin, and coke. Biker "Clubs" come through all the time, but thankfully places tends to be clean of them as long as you stay away from the ghettos (or bars if it's 3am).

Nah, but I should probably make sure he limits himself to chewing them out. He's gotten physical with people who trespassed with ill-intents before, and that took years for us to recover from legally.

At 8am this morning I was woken up by a phone call from my dad asking about a broken mirror on my car. As far as I was aware, I didn't have a broken mirror. I threw on some shoes and ran outside to find that the passenger mirror on my car was shattered over the front lawn and the curb.

I immediately knew that it didn't get hit by a car. For one, the driver would have had to swerve into the oncoming lane and over the curb to get to my car. Second, the housing for the mirror was still attached to the metal joint, if somewhat disheveled; the metal swivel itself was unbent. Then I looked down: a goddamn rock-- bigger than my hand-- was sitting on the curb less than a foot away from my car, surrounding by shattered glass.

There's a group of drunks that like to wander around the neighborhood at 3am. I'm 95% sure that one of those jackasses did it. I know it's not some act of road-rage, I haven't driven the car since Wednesday and I know it happened recently because of how the glass was settled and the location of various pieces of plastic were still where they would have fallen.

I'm more frustrated than anything. Every car problem I've had has had a reason behind it, whether the car got the worst of a mechanical problem or me running it into an 18-wheeler. But there is no earthly reason for why someone would do this. I guess there's just a meanness in this world.
