Progressive Field (the Indian's stadium) has been open for nearly 25 years now and there are no plans to touch it (yet, at least).
Honestly, only baseball field that's getting dumped right now iirc is the Braves' Turner Field by the new Suntrust Park, which is perfect timing considering that the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is replacing the Georgia Dome at the same time.
Salaries are a much better thing to complain about than a new park once every generation or two.
agreed, that shit's absurd
though i imagine MLB players get payed relatively less than NFL or NBA players, just because fewer people seem to care about baseball these days
could be totally wrong though
Hell no, baseball salaries are nearly double that of NFL players.

if people like the sport itself so much, then cut the stadium budget in half and give the proceeds to something that helps society
Wrigley opened over a century ago, and they're only renovating it instead of building a new one. Feel like they're doing dandy in terms of stadium budgeting.
wrigley's one stadium though

As a consolation for Los Doyers fans at least you lost to the winning team.
Completely serious. While it seems a bit counter-intuitive, the Cubs losing would have hurt the Dodgers chances of winning if they had hypothetically been there instead. This can at least let the team carry their heads high, and morale is important.
I guess you're right, but the Dodgers won't ever win again if Pedro Baez is still on the team
You want to trade a Baez for a Baez?

It's okay though Verb, I still love you and all that.
I actually watched the game with my parents, and if there's one good thing I can say about baseball, it's that it seems like a very gentlemanly sport. Unlike football, all the players looked like polite, respectable human beings. They cut their hair and they had good sportsmanship--never really swearing or getting angry or pissed off in the dugouts, at least from what I saw. That made the whole thing a lot easier to sit through because of how refreshing it was.
That's the best part of baseball tbh. The atmosphere is just pure joy. Best examples are Rizzo jumping around in the dugout like a hyperactive puppy and Bryant's face as he threw to first. It's just a good time, and I think that's nice to have after dealing with bullshart all day.

The email wasn't recognizable by either correspondent for the site who had previously spoken to Murray iirc. Note that a letter from an unconfirmed email claiming to be Sean Murray that was sent AFTER the infamous tweet should immediately raise an eyebrow.

His pep talk saved the game, and it could save the country papa bless

That was an intense game, well played on both sides. Here's to the Dodgers in 2017.

Let's see if Montgomery can close this out. All he needs to do is strike out Martinez.

And Javy "bunt master" Baez kills the inning.
Don't forget Jason "15 million for .230 average" Heyward
He did so well just an inning earlier, the fuck happened

WHY DID HE BUNT?!
So that he wouldn't risk Heyward on 3rd Not a great reason (hint: there never is), but that's what I saw. Also what Jono said. He's gotten lucky a few times, besides that he's been pretty shit.

Why the fuck did Maddon retired Hendricks so early
One walk that should have been an out if it wasn't for umpball and that's enough to drop him halfway through the 5th?

Bottom of the 9th, tied score, Indians at the top of the list, and Chapman's not at his best. Looks like an open and close.

Well, looks like Chapman fucked the Cubs out of a win. gg

Calisthenic exercises are the best kind of workouts tbh
They can be done anytime and anywhere, they're easy, and it's completely free.

Voting Johnson, if only for the idea of opening the political system beyond the bipartisan environment. This election's a dumpster fire as far as I'm concerned; I'm just hoping that the results will improve the quality four years from now.
I'm a big Johnson guy myself

Damn have they used their tornado ball pitch yet?
No, but I think Fowler might use the Egg Ball technique.

Cubs win game 7 5-4.
No matter who wins, it's going to be a good game of Umpball.
