Wasn't expecting Georgia to be so close tbh.

What if both Trump and Clinton don't get 270, but Johnson wins some state? Just imagine the levels of butt hurt there would be if that guy ends up being president due to congress or however someone is selected when nobody reaches 270.
Electors don't actually meet until like December to cast their ballots in the Electoral College. Since only like half of the US states have laws requiring electors to vote in the way their district won, it could be solved by someone just saying "nah" and voting the opposite way.

If that didn't happen, Congress would meet in January to count the votes (just like they do for every election, regardless), and if nobody has 270, then each state's delegation gets a vote toward president. From there, the winner would only need a simple majority (26).

Also goofery with the Vice President, but basically, Johnson wouldn't get the presidency like that unless parties just decided to stop supporting the face of their parties.

Trump's little lawsuit in Nevada got slapped down.  Any bets on how many more lawsuits he'll try and shove through?

Considering that he's been crying wolf for over voter fraud for a month or two now, it'll keep happening through December.

Hit the poll at 9am. Voted Johnson, and then against any option that supported Georgia Amendment 1. I realized that they'll still likely win, but just voting opposite at least decreased the victory by a fraction of a percent.
yeah fuck amendment 1. i voted no on 2 and 3 too.
Don't know what the fuck Georgia was trying with Amendment 3.

A4 was alright tho

What is Georgia Amendment 1?
https://ballotpedia.org/Georgia_Authorization_of_the_State_Government_to_Intervene_in_Failing_Local_Schools,_Amendment_1_(2016)

In summary, it's a leftover idea from No Child Left Behind. State interventionism fucked education enough as it is, we don't need more of it. Deal took "inspiration" from the Achievement program in Tennessee; only thing is, he doesn't seem to realize that they're throwing it out because it's complete shite.

Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen is an excellent book, and the only information you need going into it is a high school history experience. It's not comprehensive since it spans from 1493 to recent events (mostly hanging around Reconstruction era), but it talks about the flaws of textbook education and touches on events that were left out of them.

I've struggled with beating every Souls game after DaS1. Not out of difficulty, but I either start to dislike the game after a point (DaS2) or the atmosphere creeps me out too much (Bloodborne).

Probably should try digging my heels in and trying anyway, but it would just be a chore at that point.

Play Bloodborne with someone. Helps ease the tension. Fisting pigs also provides some release.
I don't mean that it creeps me out in a 2spoopy way, I just hate looking at spiders. They're just revolting.

Queelag doesn't put me off for some reason, though. The hairy legs make me shiver, but the face isn't duper spidery.

I imagine amygdala might be a problem

Spoiler
That's when I stopped playing.

The ones that don't attack are even creepier.

>sport where winner is determined by the amount of roids they took
This isn't the 90s anymore lol

And MLB has super strict PED tests/rules these days. First offense is suspension for 50 games, second offense is a 162 game suspension and can't play in the postseason, and the third offense is a lifetime ban from MLB.
i wonder how they arrived at 162 games for a second offense
Length of a season, generally.

Progressive Field (the Indian's stadium) has been open for nearly 25 years now and there are no plans to touch it (yet, at least).

Honestly, only baseball field that's getting dumped right now iirc is the Braves' Turner Field by the new Suntrust Park, which is perfect timing considering that the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is replacing the Georgia Dome at the same time.

Salaries are a much better thing to complain about than a new park once every generation or two.
agreed, that shit's absurd

though i imagine MLB players get payed relatively less than NFL or NBA players, just because fewer people seem to care about baseball these days

could be totally wrong though
Clayton Kershaw is the highest paid player right now in MLB at $32 million a year. He donates the majority of it to his own charity, Kershaw's Challenge..

While Baseball players are known to generally be charitable, they're still paid way more compared to other sports on average.

But to be fair, this is only salary. NFL superstars make millions in endorsement deals, which bumps up their total earnings tremendously.
