Antinatalism is a shit meme and you should feel bad. Also, what's your favorite season of archer?
I haven't been as committed to the show as I should be, sorry
I've liked everything I've seen on FOX and of Dreamland
Vice sucked tho
Vice was alright, certainly not my favorite.
Contextually, Vice was the only thing I could watch when I first "tried" Archer (I only had Amazon Prime). I like it better since I got Netflix, and I only watched it regularly starting with season 7.

the thing is I don't want to be outright hated, more of a sol thing where people like me but still put me down
and the funny thing is that some people think I'm sitting here getting off to people being mean to me, but its more because the meanness just gives me a feeling of pure catharsis and relief - I can go to writing.com if I want to get off lol
posts like this are just so amazing
Spoiler from a purely psychological standpoint I probably developed the sub kink as a result of my general need to be disparaged, not the other way around I know what you mean. The relief of knowing people appreciate you is good, but it's also euphoric to know why people dislike you.

I wouldn't consider it a 20yo sport in the US, if only because US Football hasn't even existed in a singular league for a major portion of time that the public has enjoyed it (started in 1869, current league began in 1921 but relative growth didn't begin until the 60s).
Hockey's in a similar situation, too. Outside of Northern states like Minnesota, hockey hasn't been popular in the US until recent years. Still wouldn't act like the years since it began in the country was nothing, tho.
The main issue is that while a league existed from time to time, there was no fundamental elements to actually produce US talent, as kids often slipped through the cracks and didn't have the exposure and nurture to develop. Now that that is in place, along with a league that is also consistent and rising, it draws the interest of people, and that is a positive thing. Without a domestic league to help nurture young talent, gain interest, and gain exposure, you risk becoming like England who's massive teams sell out to foreign talent. More or less.
Unlike sports like the NFL, if you're not playing with the pro's by the time you're 19 or 20, you're considered too old. By the time you hit 24-27, you should be coming into your prime.
I dunno, even the MLB has a cap of 24-ish. The prime is the 20s, and at most you're good until your early 40s. I do think soccer hasn't been popular enough in the US, though, and I'm glad that it's becoming more popular.

tbh I'm like the opposite of Class
I just want people to like me (not love, that's too much tbh), while Class likes being put down
<3 u tho
i'm sure you realize, it would be a lot easier for people to like you if you were less reluctant to make friends over the internet, right
It's not that I'm reluctant, I just don't believe that friendship is possible solely through electronic means. The closest one can be is "someone I like", or "an associate". While those terms are somewhat derogatory for someone you've spoken to face-to-face, it's one of the highest honers that one who isn't known personally can have.

US soccer though is finally out of its infancy
>104 years old
So when will the country leave it's infancy?
US soccer 104 years old? Maybe throughout different leagues. Keep in mind the league folded before in the past, and before the 1994 World Cup that took place in the United States, they didn't even have a league. The current iteration, MLS, is just over 20 years old, it's grown exponentially. Only 10 years ago there wasn't even talk of the league having players or teams like it has, and now cities are vying to try to get into the league and jump on the bandwagon. New franchises are producing rabid fans, and most importantly, the youth soccer development is finally coming together (it could be better and it's being improved) to produce better quality young players.
Players like Christian Pulisic, Matt Miazga, and Deandre Yedlin. European giant teams are also coming to American to scout young players like this, because with a nation of 300 million that loves sports, they're finally seeing the US soccer industry produce talent worth looking at.
So basically, it's been a 20 year period and for such a short span, it's improved rapidly, really kick starting when David Beckham came to the LA Galaxy back in 2007. That doesn't mean the US is going to win the World Cup anytime soon though. Youth development takes a long time to... well, develop. But MLS itself as a league has more attendance average than the NBA, has a new TV deal with ratings slowly ticking up, and investments from all over the world.
I wouldn't consider it a 20yo sport in the US, if only because US Football hasn't even existed in a singular league for a major portion of time that the public has enjoyed it (started in 1869, current league began in 1921 but relative growth didn't begin until the 60s). also that best part of Ron Swanson is that Nick Offerman is almost the exact opposite as him politically
it helps him more perfectly portray the stereotypical libertarian
really? it was my understanding that nick offerman shared many of ron's opinions on things
I thought your performance at The Webbys earlier this year was hilarious. A few months later, are you feeling any differently about the election, or about Trump and Hillary, now that a lot has changed since then?
I feel like it's fascinating and terrifying and kind of depressing that the American public is feeling this. You know, we have nobody to blame but ourselves for this election, and I think it's just fascinating. I mean, I'm not a great political brain, but I definitely have a pretty simple take on politics that involves common decency. When it gets into trade policy and foreign policy, I quickly end up in the weeds where I find it hard to follow. It's usually easy for me to vote because one party usually offends me by being indecent. And that usually has to do with taking away the rights of some group. That's where my gut begins with politics—it has to do with simple matters and neighborliness. And so seeing what's going on is just astonishing. I'm always amazed in elections when the only flaws that can be pointed out about a candidate are that they have been a politician. You know—"Well they said this in '93, and then they said this other thing in 2005." Yes, that's called politics. The world is very complicated and so are human beings, so I'm not surprised. But then, on the other hand, [there's a] candidate that's only, in my way of thinking, held such an unsavory job as casino owner. Not only that, but a failed casino—a spectacularly failed one. On one hand, I understand the dissatisfaction that has led to his selection. But, on the other hand, I have to say, if you're going to make a statement with your dissatisfaction, you really should've found a better representative of your desires. But I'm just going to try and continue to promote good manners wherever I can. -Esquire interview with Nick Offerman Ron Swanson is the result of a character created for the show, enhanced by the exaggerated hobbies and traits of Nick Offerman.

most unlikable character ever is noah cross btw, intentionally so
if they're intentionally unlikable then that means they're actually likable
makes literally negative sense
a good actor can play an evil character in a really charismatic way
charismatic means you like their character while simultaneously rooting against them because you know they're bad
basic basic basic basic shit
"appreciate" is more accurate than "like"

ron swanson is like if you tried to write the most unlikable possible character ever, to a point where nobody could ever top it
For his political philosophy, sure; but Spoiler He's actually a guy who truly cares about those around him, and he tries really hard not to let them know it. While he practices his political leanings, he helps others not have to do with those situations. also his entire purpose (in terms of the show) is to show someone who politically is the exact opposite of Leslie while also being one of her most ardent supporters

also what do you think of Parks & Rec
I used to watch that show SO much. It has so many great characters and gags, I'm just a bit worn out of it if you get what I mean.
literally the best part of the whole show IMO I love when Ben gets super into something, and this is no exception. His smugness in these clips makes me laugh every time in terms of pure humor though, the town meeting scenes are legendary
Top 5 characters in order: 1) Ben 2) Donna 3) Chris 4) Leslie 5) Ron
shoutout to Ann Perkins, who is great but doesn't make the list for reasons
protip: On subsequent viewings, start on 208. It makes it leagues more pleasant to watch.
Chris is so great lmao, he Ben and Leslie make the show for me
I don't like Ron for obvious reasons lol
and I usually start with "The Master Plan", when Chris and Ben get introduced. Though it is interesting/uncanny to watch S1 with Mark Brendanaquitz
So I meant 223, which is that one. Show is just missing something before that, and it is just perfect from then on. I like Ron for how he interacts with the rest of the cast, especially S4+

In the same way 2 Fast 2 Furious is more intense than No Country For Old Men, sure. Underwood is straight up a villain protagonist, from the very first episode. There's no progression or room for doubt. He's so confident in what he's doing, and nothing can shake him.
Walter White personifies delusion. He deludes his family, his enemies, and himself. He truly believes he's "doing it all for my family", because if he's not, then he has nothing to live for. So we have five seasons of Walt, tied down by his constant insecurities and hubris, create situations that a normal man could easily avoid. Walt is a logical genius, but has the emotional maturity of a middle schooler.
That's a far more interesting protagonist than Frank "killing all my rivals for more power then expositing to the camera about it" Underwood
He does get shaken though, at least a couple times a season. There's even a whole [spoilery issue] that revolves around him getting shook. The great part is that he's clearly not a good guy, but his charisma still pulls you in enough to root for him. It's so amazing that it's hard to stop watching. Walt believes he's doing the best for his family, Underwood believes he's doing the best for himself and the world (regardless of their thoughts). He's akin to a Caesar, and it's remarkable. Spoiler I wasn't insulting Breaking Bad btw. I do love Walt, I just love Frank even more.

should i add something, perhaps an inverted flag, to my tb?
it feels like there's something missing (apart from it being generally shitty)
backwards/inverted flags are used in regular service use an American flag, missing a star for every state that's joined the climate change agreement in spite of the POTUS's decision.

I found out when
Spoiler my mother wiki'd it halfway through S1 and told me
It's very obvious from the S5 trailer that played on the Netflix homepage, but I still hate that got spoiled. I also own an shirt, and I love it
your mother seems to do that a lot, lol
i remember you saying she ruined gone girl for you too (which you should still see)
Yeah, whenever I watch with her she demands that I tell her what happens or threatens to stop watching it. If I'm as up to date as her, she reads what happens online and then tells me whether or not I want to know. I don't watch many things with my mom.
