when played offline, dark souls should have a pause feature—yes or no

Spoiler
the correct answer is yes
nah

One of the components of Dark Souls is unavoidable danger (even within the locations of fires, if you haven't shaken the trail of your hazardous followera). The inability to pause meshes with that.

god comes down from the sky and tells you that everything you enjoy is objectively bad, and you'd be a happier person if you liked different things

how do you respond
I try to like different things, duh

Does God stay around long enough to ask questions of that are relevant to the situation?
does god tell you what's good? no, he immediately leaves

i made a thread a long time ago asking this question and most people said they'd either be conflicted or indignant
If an objective source of morality descended from the sky, I would do my best to match it lol

Do I know which God came from the sky?
you do not; you don't even know if it was really god or anybody with clout whatsoever

but it was a giant man in the sky telling you what's what, so signs point to him being some kind of god
Well, that's even more fishy

Do I at least get a good look at him so that I can get a good idea of which God he might be?
sure, though i'm not sure if god's appearance is ever really described in any holy books

as much as i've criticized the bible i should probably read it myself, huh
The description is always brilliant, but differs slightly between the Judaic, Christian, and Muslim interpretations of God. Non-monotheistic interpretations are much different of course.

Verb when are you going to play New Vegas?
I hope soon

It's much better than FO3

yeah

I'm currently doing a playthrough now, but this time actually going the whole route rather than running down I95 and getting on the monorail. Dunno who I'm gonna fight for though. I've done NCR, House and Legion a shit ton and I don't feel like going for indy.
Don't do a runthrough as a play, be a person in the world. My current Skyrim playthrough is a semi-wealthy Orc who was left to die in the Reach, and had to resort to bounties and menial labor to buy a simple home. On the track to this, she became indebted to Molag Bal, and thus has done all she could to assist in his schemes to enslave mortals and to curry his favor.

I'm not very good at thinking of a character background and sticking to it.
I'm good at doing it in single-character RPGs, but games like Icewind Dale and Wasteland are hard to play because I have to juggle multiple characters in the same campaign.
A lot of the time in games, particularly Bethesda ones, there's too many things that take me out of the experience. Like, I'm always aware I'm playing a game so it's hard for me to ever really get into RPing a character.

I usually just decide "okay, this is the faction I'm gonna support" then do everything I can to make that faction as powerful as possible when it gets to Hoover Dam.
My last playthrough of NV had me siding House, but playing the Legion and NCR against each other to their boiling points; they both realize this too late, however, meaning that they are both barred from the penultimate victory.

my mind always defaults to variations of "would you do this embarrassing thing for x reward"
how do you feel about that

what is your solution to the prisoner's dilemma
Snitches get stiches, they should both hold their tongues.
Spoiler
If I was truly involved in such a situation, I would portray myself in a good light but also tell the truth about myself and my partner, hoping that my sentence is reduced for speeding along the investigation but also expecting a reasonable amount of jail time.

Bobsledding
Gymnastics
Do you have to check yourself into a hospital for every Olympic season?
I can watch those sports, but I still rarely do so.
Interesting. I've watched gymnastic events, but that's mostly because of people I've known being on gymnastic teams. What attracts you to the sports?
I'm only into sports involves remaining around family. I have other things to blow my time on.
That's cool. Is it a longstanding history, or
What? I'm just not fond of watching sports. We usually watched bits of the Olympics together. Otherwise, there's usually something better on.
Okay, that's what I was wondering. Whether this was a "family tradition", or the spawned pleasure of some childhood experience.

Also, please don't ask "easy" questions

Challenge me
can you describe the last time you wanted to kill somebody in detail
I wanted to slam on my breaks yesterday night (June 10th) when someone was tailgating me, and I wouldn't have at all regretted it if they died in the crash. Well, I would have, but only for the fact that it would have damaged my car.

Besides that, I generally don't feel murderous; usually, the extent is calling 911/my boss on someone out of spite.
that didn't seem very challenging

how do you mean challenging
my bad

The guy rode my ass for a mile or two; I thought about slamming on my brakes, getting into a serious car wreck, calling 911, and then watching his near-dead body be loaded into an ambulance. I imagined some unsaved number notifying me that he had passed away due to injury, and that I was cleared of any involvement due to it clearly being the result of his own wrongdoing.

Then I gave him the bird, and slowed from 50mph to 45mph to match the speed limit since he wanted to be such an aggressive asshole.

I think that women are wrongly held to a higher standard, while men are held to a lesser standard.
what standard are we talking about again
Humanity; as a whole, "we" (being global society) belief that women should be more reserved, polite, less conspicuous, et all than men. That's wrong; we (as a global society) should have a singular standard by which men and women are both held to. Calling a girl "gross" for making a joke that men get a laugh at or a man "sappy" for crying at a "chick flick" is wrong.

And I know Class holds the same belief, I'm just merely trying to reiterate it in a way that you best agree with/understand.
