If you honestly think that's why the Saturn failed, you need to read up.
If you honestly think that was me who posted that, you need to think more
Are you telling me that you didn't just post a mobile screencap from /v/ saying that?

If you have a microusb cord, such as a phone charger or PSP data cable, that works as a PS3 controller charger.

He's right guys. That's the only reason I support anti-muslim culture groups, pedophile rights, and the only reason all MRA's are MRA's.
I bet you even enjoy using your male privilege to telepathically undress unsuspecting women and rape them with your eyes.
And then later I fantasize about raping them with my penis.
the most disgusting thing is that you probably even hold doors open for woman, as if they are incapable of opening doors on their own.

Gameplay is somewhere between DA:O and DA2, but the writing is pretty bad and the story isn't very fulfilling. If you like Mass Effect 3's Citadel missions, then you'll love DA:I's side-missions. Graphically, it's full of QUALITY moments and sometimes I can't tell if Sera's supposed to be an elf or an ogre.

You know, you don't have to agree with someone to understand their sentiment. I've beaten the game three god damn times, and I can honestly say that I understand what Verb is saying. I don't agree with it, but I don't see why that's a reason to belittle him.

Third and fourth generations are best generations.
I'd agree as long as the 5th gen gets a bronze medal. Playstation killed it in terms of pretty much everything.

something something quran

"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians -- whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" (2:62, 5:69, and many other verses).
Don't forget Muhammad's promise to St. Catherine:

“This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them.
No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses.
Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God’s covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.
No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants.
No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).”

It's almost like extremists shouldn't be considered examples of any religion or group.

Dark Souls isn't hard.
BioShock Infinite is shit.
Storywise, Persona 4 is the worst numbered Persona game. Overall, Arena Ultimax is the worst Persona.
On that subject, the best Persona game in the past 5 years was an Etrian Odyssey clone.
The PS4 and Xbone aren't that good.
Drakengard is fun.
This year has been pretty shit in terms of games.
TellTale Games is immensely overrated.
Post ME2 Bioware can jump in a hole.
I hope Capcom dies extremely soon.
Bayonetta 2 is my personal GOTY.
Open world =/= good game.
343 blows at making games and understanding their community.
Injustice was a pretty shitty fighter.
Smash 4 could have been a lot better.
Wolfenstein: The New Order was the best FPS in recent years.
Advanced Warfare is OK. Step in the right direction, but not great on its own.
5 Nights at Freddy's is overblown.
Square Enix can go fuck itself too.
FF15 won't save the franchise.
MGS5 won't live up to the hype.
Half-Life 3 will never happen, and I'm okay with that.
MK8 was a failure.
FarCry 4 is just FC3 2.0.
Battlefront is going to end up being Battlefield: Star Wars Edition, and I hate that.
Game Grumps has sucked since JonTron left.

Serious / Re: How would you answer this moral problem?
« on: December 07, 2014, 04:34:38 PM »
It's just far-fetched because it is indeed a child that we're talking about. They tend to be incapable of reason.
That, and the fact that taking pleasure in your suffering, for whatever reason, completely disrupts the idea of one suffering for the benefit of the many.

Since you've just removed the suffering from the equation, and made everybody content in some form.
I think you may have misread my post. The masochist bit was more of a humorous afterthought rather than any point for discussion.

The OP stressed any happiness would result in the city being destroyed. Because of that, I'd assume that anything that could even remotely or possibly cause a momentary sense of happiness would be avoided.

All I'm saying is that it'd likely be something considered when it was planned out, and at most as a precaution.

If the kid knows why, he or she could become happy
No, they couldn't.
Are you implying that there is no possibility that someone could be content with cruelty if they are guaranteed that they're supporting utopian conditions? I'm not saying that it would be a guarantee, just that it would likely be thought of by the masterminds of the scenario.

Serious / Re: Will furriers ever become socially acceptable?

Becoming socially acceptable works in two ways: you are the majority, or the majority wants to understand. Furries, while still incredibly easy to come across on the internet, are just not the kind of group that attracts enough general attention to become "acceptable".

Reality isn't black and white, and I see no reason to present my opinions in black and white either. Advancement with a conscious mind to ethics seems reasonable to me.

damn well hopefully the weebs will be the next
As someone who's often called a weeb, I resent that statement.
Just an FYI, this forum has a tendency of calling anyone who as little as merely likes a single anime show a weeb. It isn't meant to offend or insult.
As does most of the internet. I'm more insulted that someone would wish the very same thing they're upset about on another group. At that, the wish being entirely based on a few, marginally-related characters funposting.

Well I'd be willing to wager that you guys would've treated this topic way differently if this was an anime convention.
First of all, generalizations are dangerous. Second, I would have reacted just as I did in this thread, which is to say that I haven't really said anything.
Did you not see the way people responded in Serious?
Yes, I did. And is that because they are weeaboos or because they thought they were being funny? I'd wager the latter.
All I'm saying is that if this was a weeb convention, you guys would've treated this topic a lot more nicely.
A few might have, but most of the funposters have affiliation with the event beyond a tangent interest. Shitposters will shitpost, the subject doesn't matter much.

For the topic at hand, it's a shame it happened but I can't say I have any thoughts on the story besides that. Hopefully the perpetrator is caught.

Many > One

I usually dislike being so cursory about stuff like this, but I really think it's that simple of a dilemma. I can only hope that the child knows why he must live in squalor.
If I were to make an assumption, I'd say the child doesn't know why. If he or she knows, then the child might take solace in the fact that it's for the good of many.

If they don't know why, then why would they care? Presuming it's all they've known, they likely can't even imagine a life outside the one they have much like how people who live in 3rd world countries are complacent not having cities (I mean those such as tribes and shit. Not just poverty) because they don't know or imagine anything better than what they have.
The concept doesn't account for apathy, so I'd take it that it doesn't account for the city's condition. If the kid knows why, he or she could become happy knowing he's making a difference. Obviously this isn't good, so being left in the dark is the better of the two options. Being complacent isn't the same as being happy, and getting kicked and starved for no apparent reason isn't either.

Now, if the kid ends up becoming a masochist "we" could have a problem.

There was a thread about this in Serious, but it got locked earlier. Presumably because of all the funposting involved in the discussion.
