Hating Jive would be like hating a golden retriever. They're great when they're not being retarded, and you can't help but feel pity rather than mad whenever they do something stupid.

Fucking Kaine was the worst. Remember how hard Marvel was pushing him to be a thing back in the '90s? It only took 20 years to finally make him more than a Carnage-tier bore.
And now he's just McFarlane Spiderman, but in Texas. Funny how things happen.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 wound up being one of the worst superhero movies of all time, though. Take all of Spider-Man 3's issues and turn them up to 11, basically. It was fucking bad, and, relatively speaking, it performed poorly at the box office as well. So that franchise was shitcanned.

Garfield in particular got fired because he blew off a huge meeting with Sony's executives. He might have been able to stay on as Spider-Man in the MCU, but he despised Amazing 2 enough to toss away the biggest role of his life.
Eh, Hacksaw Ridge was universally well-received. I wouldn't say "biggest role", but burning bridges with Sony won't help him in the future.

By the way, her default costume was actually """censored."""

Here's how it originally was:

Spoiler

Art of the original still appears in some character intros. Even Capcom decided it was a little too fucking silly.

I put "censor" in quotation marks, because the reason had nothing to do with fear of backlash or anything. They just decided it looked better in terms of color balance, which... it does.

The reason no one got upset is because, as it turns out, people actually find the spandex a lot sexier. ::)
While I do agree that it's sexier, it also looks 10x better. I still like her SFIV outfit more, it was more memorable and original.

Also, what do you think of her theme?

Some say it's the worst theme in the game and doesn't fit at all, but I honestly dig it.
Nah, I like her theme.

And she is pretty hard to play as, but I enjoy her moveset and speed enough to give mastering her a chance.

At least you unlock Juri's best color by beating it on Easy.

tbh her normal outfit is more lewd than the battle outfit, despite the latter showing more skin.

I like to keep to the purple/black color scheme when possible though; I'm weird about maintaining consistency.

i see

following comics seems like a massive headache
Some are easier than others, but Spiderman is awful to follow. The Clone Saga was easily the lowest point of the comic's history, but (surprising to those new to comics) Spiderman has a LOT of overly convoluted and mediocre stories. The Night Gwen Stacy Died, The Amazing Spiderman run by Straczynski, Superior Spiderman, and Renew Your Vows are basically the best of his history (with a few other good ones mixed in). The only reason he hasn't ended up like the Fantastic Four is because of the legacy cemented by Secret Wars, the 90's cartoon, and the Raimi movies.
please just tell me Spider-Man Reign isn't canon
It isn't 616/2.0 Spider-man, so no.
what's that mean
Like DC, Marvel comics have a multiverse. The primary Marvel universe was Earth-616; then because of the events in Time Runs Out and Secret Wars 2015, we got a singular comicbook universe that took the favorite parts of all the universes (616 Peter Parker, Miles Morales, etc) and combined them into one continuity.
And is that considered canon to the MCU? Or are they two separate entities?
MCU is a different continuity, yes. Most of the characters were based more heavily on their Ultimate incarnations as well, and not the mainline characters.
i like this

so it's not that things are "non-canon"

they're just "different-canon"
Generally yes. There have been retcons in Marvel's history, but typically if they want to do stuff like Spiderman Reigns they just put it in a different continuity.

Continuity typically changes every decade or so, anyway. You'll see the larger picture things stay the same, but details will be altered (Spiderman's updated origin story has twitter and Jameson with a vape instead of a cigar, the war that Frank Castle fought in changes every few years, etc).

When I was younger, my mom would always plan big events like going to the aquarium or resorts, but I don't really like big hueg parties or events. I usually get lunch with my dad, then hang out with some friends for a few hours.

What was canon first, web shooters or organic webs?

Like.....it never made sense why webs came out of his wrists. But GO GO WEB felt a lot more natural and more spider like then the shooters.
Web shooters. Not like that's important though, it took a decade for MJ to show up yet everyone knows her better than Gwen Stacy.

My biggest problems were the YA vibe, color grading, and the same over-coreographed fighting sequences that every Disney Marvel movie has.

I'd put the movie par with Spiderman 3, if not a touch ahead.
hmm, i'm gonna assume you didn't hate spiderman 3 then

(good)

YouTube

i'd say i agree 80% with this video

except i actually liked the scenes with tony stark, and i surprisingly enjoyed the mentor thing he had going—i didn't expect to like that aspect at all but i thought it was executed tastefully

i have mixed feelings about spidey's talking suit, it's cool and all, but it felt like a replacement for my all-time favorite of spider-man's superpowers—his fucking spider sense

i also didn't like peter's nerd friend, or virtually any of the high school drama scenes whatsoever, because wow i just don't caaaaaaaaare, especially when it's not even trying to be an accurate portrayal of how high school actually is

and HAHAHAHAHAHAHA remember when those girls are playing fuck/kill/marry, but one of the girls just says the letter "F" instead of "fuck" like an actual girl in high school would say? yeah that was hilariously stupid

that being said, i think zendaya's character was actually my favorite overall—bit of a dark horse—she reminded me a lot of ally sheedy's character in the breakfast club (almost to a point where i think she was trying to emulate that performance, but it was fine), and i was actually surprised at who she ended up being

also, i hate web shooters and they suck and they're stupid—organic webs forever

but i mean yeah, overall it was fine, and it wasn't a clusterfuckity mess like TASM2 or anything
Well, a common theme with Spidey in every medium is his continued mutations. It's entirely possible that we'll see the Spidey Sense soon (Mysterio is supposed to be the next villain iirc), and that they only cut it to reinforce how unrefined he is as a superhero (it's OP as fuck and would have turned most of the action sequences into cakewalks).

Additionally, I like the suit specifically because it causes most of the issues he had throughout the film by him trying to rely on it too hard or it reacting to problems wrong (parachute auto-deploying while he's spinning in the first Vulture encounter).

I'm also glad that
Spoiler
They showed off the Iron Spider, but he didn't end up using it.

Not Sean though

Why dough?
I was just kidding, but he does need to be more viable if he's included in a future game.

that's true, and they have to be aware that no one really plays SF for the story anyway

alas, shitcom works in mysterious ways

we won't know until 2020 at the earliest
2.5 years to go. A bit odd that there won't be an Ultra Super Street Fighter V UHD Remix II: Second Bout given the franchise history.
i wouldn't be surprised if they went back on their word on that, tbh

sales have been pretty dismal, and a re-release would certainly help ameliorate that
I see them releasing a Season 3 Edition so that they can get around it on technicalities.

What I really will miss it the increasingly long and goofy names the games get.

expecting PURE GARBAGE
it was okay

like, it was good

wasn't bad at all

but wow i have so many complaints

but i'll just say it was a 7/10

better than any andrew garfield spider-man movie, but the sam raimi films still win by a mile
