F-tier does not exist, because I like a properly constructed alphabetical grading system
Fun fact: F grades are a holdover from the PF grading system where P was a passing grade and F was failing. Once standardized testing became more common, the "passing" range was broken down further to more accurately assess subject understanding.

I once almost drowned in a pool when I was like 8. Besides that, I haven't really had close calls.

There are two reasons to buy any console:
1) Exclusives 2) Friends
If the console doesn't have any games you want or you don't strongly feel a need to play the games on it with friends, don't get one. They'll eventually become worth a purchase, but I don't feel they are now.

So privacy is only necessary (in terms of security) so long as the world is not utopian.

But the concept of privacy is something you consider fundamental? i don't believe i said that
well, personally, i just don't value it at all
it's just a fundamental... thing, i guess i apologize for the poor wording there, but when i used the term "fundamental", i was referring to our fundamental, philosophical disagreement on this issue--because i foresee the inevitable impasse that we'll reach
I know, and I understand that there is a certain basic disagreement there. I'm just asking questions so that the complete logic can be shared so that it isn't 64 pages of disagreement. So, you admit that your lack of perceived value in privacy is not the most common view? Are there any reasons why you might believe, or disbelieve, in that value?

Would you say then that you take your freedom for granted? well, no, because i don't need privacy, either
it's not like how i take my shoes for granted, because i wear them every single day, and if i had them taken away from me, i'd be like, "well, fuck, this sure fucking sucks"
if i had my privacy taken away, it wouldn't change anything, because i was never remotely a private person at all
But the concept of privacy is something you consider fundamental?

A "freedom to privacy", to me, seems like a necessary corollary of a freedom to expression. Which I think we all value, here. well, personally, i just don't value it at all
it's just a fundamental... thing, i guess
Would you say then that you take your freedom for granted?

Only if you can trust the authority in question. oh no, big brother found out that i like to watch interracial midget porn
what am i ever to doooooo
You say that now.
You won't be so facetious when the government outlaws your favourite kind of porn.
That's what our freedoms are about.
Heh, the UK already started on that subject didn't they?

If I have footsie pajamas on my bed, I'm going to try and stop someone from going into my room. People have secrets, and they are often completely legal secrets. But they're still secrets, something you're hiding. So not wanting a camera in your living room doesn't mean that it's because you're cooking meth in it, or that you're planning terrorism.
>having secrets
open book master race let me rephrase that
having secrets like the ones you just described is just creating anxiety. creating shame.
you don't have to let everyone know every juicy detail about your life, but if someone "finds out something about you", i don't think you have any right to be ashamed about who you are
the only reason i can conceive of is... like, someone gets the wrong idea about you. that's a legitimate concern
People just don't want some things to be public information. Yes, getting the wrong idea is definitely a reason. But in the end there are just a lot of private people in the world, and having that privacy interrupted is not a pleasant experience. People knowing that you wear footsie pajamas isn't a strictly bad thing, but that doesn't mean everyone would want to voluntarily divulge that information.

But only the guilty are nervous in the face of authority!
If you're doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide. people always make fun of this logic, but
...it makes so much sense

also, pandering isn't a bad thing inherently
but it is pandering
I agree. My thing is that if you're going to pander, it better be fucking flawless. That's one of the reasons I think BioWare's a load of shit.

From what I've seen, it was more the lack of a build up to that. Up until the ending, the entire relationship was "Asami gives good advice, good friends who both like the same guy". The suddenly, they love each other. With Aang and Korra, the build was more obvious and I also understand that certain factors limited the producers ability to build a homosexual relationship with the titular character. But a little more build instead of just "they are in love" in an already ambiguous ending would have smoothed out all this commotion.
Hell, the fact that they had to go out and declare it after the show ended supports the fact that it's "how", not "what" that people are upset about.
Where in the show was it states they love each other? He show did not end with "yo we in love now we be havin gay sex 24/7"
No it ended on a ligh-hearted note with them beginning their relationship. Please tell me how many relationships you go into where you blatantly love the person, which is not what happened here.
I'm not saying there should have been some flashing neon sign saying "GAY SEX IN THE SPIRIT WORLD, TRAIN FOR 2".
You don't go into a relationship just because, you do it because there's some kind of mutual attraction. There's an attraction between them, and that's not the problem. It's that they did such a piss-poor job of showing that there was that development into their final relationship that the producers had to come out and say, "yes, it's a romantic relationship". If they did the job right, they wouldn't have had to do that.
And I'm not just saying that they sick at their jobs. They were facing huge budget cuts and they had to make sacrifices, and one of the biggest complaints in the first two seasons was that it had too much of a romance focus. But their solution was to tone back the romance so far that the ending came out of left-field.
I don't recall seeing anyone confused about the ending. Everyone knew what the ending meant well before they confirmed it since it wasn't confirmed in the show. Do you really think Nick would let them confirm it by letting them kiss or state it? It Nick bruh. Instead they had to heavily imply it and it worked out fine, everyone knew what they were going for.
If there was no confusion, they wouldn't have had to confirm it. And I've already said that I know their options were limited, and their budget was cut so it's not like they could do everything they might have had planned. All I'm saying is that there should have been more development than "Korra blushes when Asami complements her hair that one time". There needed to be more than just "we're friends, now we're more". That's why some idiots are crying pandering, because it was a gunshot development.

I have a strong suspicion that this new member is, in fact, DeeJ in disguise!
Nah, he's clearly a Foman.
Please, Foman wouldn't dot his post with lol's like that even if it was a matter of disguise.

Now we just need Chicken and Leo. Leo so that Das has someone to create friction with, and Chicken to be confused and Canadian. i'd much rather have sapph be the confused canadian
But Sophie is more endearing than confused.

Salamence is love, Salamence is life.
Unless he was majorly nerfed, Salamence is really OP. Just for that your team should be fine.

There are people that think FFVII is better than FFVI
There are people who think Dante could beat Bayonetta 1v1
There are people that think Kirby isn't the single most powerful being in existence
Tyere are people that think the Wii U is a critical failure/success
There are people that think paying the full price of a game for DLC months before you know a thing about it is okay
