I'm predominantly against organized religion, so I'd vote for a Republic. But I mean... he's benevolent AND all-knowing.
It's not like he/she/it necessarily has this vague tome filled with weak parables and allegories up for interpretation, resulting in a lot of petty arguing and squabbling between earthly folk who can't figure out what god is or what he's trying to accomplish. We have his predisposition laid out in front of us, conclusively. There'd be a god--he's good--and he knows everything.
Yeah, yeah, "good is subjective", whatever. To me, it's pretty obvious what benevolent would mean if you're someone who is omniscient. As long as the god isn't omnipotent, I don't see any real disadvantage, even if it is a religion. The only reason I'm against organized religion right now is because all of the gods we have dreamt up of fucking suck, and there's no way to even prove that they exist (mostly because they don't).
But I mean, I refer to my initial response... I don't really see any disadvantage if we're conclusively told, "Yeah, there's this benevolent god character who's gonna show you the way". I mean, shit, sign me up.
I don't even think you could even call that a religion, much less a theocracy, as Meta pointed out.
I was speaking terms of an actual theocracy. If there was a proven, benevolent diety that showed himself and set himself up as head of government I don't think it'd be possible to tell him "no". He's omniscient and omnipotent, he can do whatever the fuck he wants whether we'd want it or not!

If you have the wifi settings in for a connection though, it could be trying to download files and failing.

Have you tried turning it off and back on?
But seriously, uninstall the game, clear the system cache, hard reboot, COMPLETELY disconnect from the Internet (clear your wifi settings), then try installing it.

Don't worry, Microsoft pay Sony for the Blu-ray royalties.
The Blu-ray is joint-owned by 18 corporations. Even then, Sony pays out a good chunk of whatever they get from those royalties back to Panasonic and Samsung for use of their technologies in the Playstation products.

If you seriously follow the first rule of Fight Club, you weren't paying attention. The rule isn't for secrecy, it's a plan of action. Don't talk, do.

Unless they shoot for that Cyborg surgery, people need to sleep. Given 8 hours of rest per night and a 40 hour work week, a person would have 72 hours of free time per week.

Halo Reach introduced new thinga, such as abilities, sprint, and loadouts, that shifted how the game plays. Halo 4 used Reach as a basis and essentially took those developments and went even further with them.
So if you weren't fond of Reach, you hated Halo 4. Judging by Halo 4's activity on 360 since launch in comparison to the other Halo releases, a good portion of the Halo fanbase wasn't fond of the changes.

Yeah, there are a lot of problems with keeping a gun in a purse. Too many variables that can turn it into a liability instead of an asset. Example being this.

Technically, nope. However, if you had some respect for people then you'd address them in the manner that they prefer. The same that they would to you. Yeah that's the thing with these idiots that constantly aggravate the transgender crowd. They lack the ability to respect others, all they ever want to do is harass and cause harm. Most likely because of their own insecurities but that's for a different thread.
And then they make fun of them for committing suicide as if constant harassment had nothing to do with it.
I haven't really seen anybody making fun of the topic. Some people have been twats (speaking in general, not here specifically) but that's to be expected given the subject.

The only legitimate reason for needing to know what kind of privates the person has is if you're planning on getting intimate. Even then that isn't a supermarket run-in or an over dinner discussion piece.
And is there any chance of getting some kind of thread to vent out this stuff between Nuka and Noelle? Open warfare is never nice, but it ends faster and there's less collateral damage than this guerrilla snarkiness that's going on.

'Cause they most closely resemble foxes, which Elegiac likes to role-play as...
So because they're both canines with a familial resemblance. What's awful about that?

I'm genuinely curious, what is wrong with the word "dingo"? Why dingo and not some other kind Australian wild? Wallaby? Kangaroo? Koala? Huntsman?

At first, while reading the article, I was mad at the parents, then at the Church. Now I'm mad at the girl. She had one year to hold out, but instead made the conscious decision to fucking martyr herself. Congratulations, you're no longer capable of being an activist for the better treatment of trans youth, because now you're just another fucking statistic. One god damn year to hold out under her parents. \
Now that I think about it more, everything about this article pisses me off.
Even better, she committed suicide by stepping out in front of a car. So not only is she another statistic, but now there's someone who has to cope with the fact that he or she killed a person. I hurt for her, but she did an incredibly selfish and hurtful thing.

This thread just makes me realise BF4 is actually unique, weird
Well they had to make up for limiting the destruction physics somehow. So they put in a static event that happens on every map.

Light beer is, figuratively speaking, the closest to piss water you can get.
Agreed. That's why I don't drink light beers.
Liqueur or bunk, I always say.
Bourbon or Bust, I say.
Well, not really.
But liqueur is short and to the point. Bourbon has a better taste I think, but I don't think it's as effective as a numbing agent.

*insert that stephen fry quote here*
Stephen Fry can be extremely witty, but sometimes he's too pompous and he doesn't stick to his guns enough.
