Aha! But, a birthday is something special. A reminder of your origins. And a reminder that you're still here. Most of all, it's a bit like a reset button. You look back on all that you've accomplished in the last year, and look ahead to see what you think you can do this year!
I was never one for parties either, but it is a day of celebration, because looking back on the year, I accomplished much. And now it's a new year ahead of me. New roads, new paths. Which road shall I take this year?
Eh. I don't like the attention. Means I have to be around family who see me twice a year for twenty minutes total and shit, I prefer to just have the money that would be spent on it to go and buy something cool instead.

Eh. I found it boring in general. The combat was clunky and unresponsive and the story either was nonexistent or worse than destiny.
It's just not your type of game.
Personally, I hated Dark Souls at first. It has lots of lore but the game wants you to fill in the blanks, connect the dots if you will.
I got to just past the second boss before getting bored. What I saw seemed generic and I had no interest in going further. I mean, the lore is te only reason I still go back to Mass Effect 1 even though I really don't like it because I like the story decisions and the codex.
Yeah, the game doesn't have much going on in terms of lore or story at the second boss.
If the story doesn't have me interested by half an hour in, I'm unlikely to put up with boring gameplay. If it does have interesting story, I can put up with it.

Got a PS2 in '06 and played the shit out of Star Wars battlefront. In about '08, got an Xbox (Original as it came from my uncle) and Halo 2. Played the campaign, loved it. Got a 360 that year with Halo 3 and Wars (Bundle) and then joined the Reach hype train. Note that all of this was while I didn't have Internet. Jut after I got a 360, I got Fallout 3 and loved it, later getting Vegas after its release.
July 2011, got Xbox Live, got Battlefield 3 (I already had BC2) and that got me a fan of Battlefield. However, I was in a clan on Halo (I regret this naow) so never really got to play many other games. Mainly stuck on Halo until about mid 2013, when I got te mass effect trilogy, GOTY Fallout 3 and Vegas and Skyrim Legendary.
April this year, got Titanfall and added that to the series' I enjoy. Got Destiny in September, leading to the first time I have ever been disappointed by a game I bought. (Which is sad because I was cynical of it anyway, and it was still lower than I expected)
Won't be getting an X1 or MCC until March.
In all, I would be on PC now if it wasn't for Halo. Fallout, TES, Planetside, Starcraft and a bunch of other games look cool or better than they already are on PC. But muh halo.
Also point out the I don't like Halo multiplayer. Just the lore/ story and forge.

Something being able to kill quicker than something else doesn't objectively make the thing that kills slower the worse thing to put in the game.
It depends on what it is. If it has a role like the focus rifle sure it doesn't need to have decent kill times. But if it's a normal weapon then it's down right shit. The assault rifle is nearly useless due to the shit range and damage. The plasma repeater is just pointless since the damge output is shit. For Halo 2 and 3 unless you're doing weapon combos duel wielding the same type of weapons is pointless since the damge output for them is low. Halo does have a lot of weapons that are shit. The only decent ones are the power weapons or the precision ones.
Thinking that everything needs to be designed to kill is what made retards hate the Focus Rifle so much; despite its nerf from the Beta the thing still worked great as a counter-sniper, when a target was out in the open at range(as they couldn't scope in to shoot at you), and when assisting a teammate. The thing though about it is that it's the only counter to the sniper rifle. Since the thing has the range of one you're going to have people using it for that role. Normally if a rifle like weapon has the rage and scope power of a sniper rifle it's generally a sniper rifle. Which resulted in people using it for one. Bungie shouldn't have replaced the beam rifle with this thing. They should have included both weapons in the game.
Space Combat in BF2 was the main addition to the series, ofc it's going to have more content than Reach, where it was only designed to be in 1/2 of a Campaign mission. It still shouldn't be an excuses for how shitty it is. The only reason why it's that bad is because Bungie didn't put focus into the campaign as much as they did with Halo CE and 2. It's just laziness. CoD 2 has only two tank missions out of all the levels where you're on foot. Even with them being the minority they are well developed.
Also add in that they cut having space combat in multiplayer+forge because they didn't think people wanted it. *ultimate facepalm*

Halo Reach armor was perfection. So was the User Interface. 343 could learn a lot from the game Bungie did perfectly but then stupid people shat all over.
Reach is shit. The only good thing about it is the armour and UI.
And forge/ customs
And modeling of environments/weapons/vehicles/NPCs. And creating unique weapons for the sandbox. And adding in Invasion so people could play Spartan vs Elite gametypes like many wanted. And making the Rocket Hog, Falcon, and Revenant. And File Browser. And Campaign matchmaking. And FF matchmaking. And Space Combat.
FF matchmaking was terrible. If they'd have made an ODST style variant and that SvE one from the beta, it would have been good but the gametypes they had were shit.
