You should know better.
Guardians don't die and have never died. They fall into an alternate plane of existence with The Traveler's light maintaining their being. The Traveler saves them before they lose their first body and he is able to encapsulate them and protect them from death. The Traveler is a marvel to behold. Should you ever want to see The Traveler's light come to the city and talk with The Speaker.

It's a god damn door. Just unlock it.
Remember when I just opened the door for you on Mars Guardian? If a door opens immediately It's usually the fault at the system's designer. Using the light and my knowledge given to my by the traveler to traverse the digital plane is difficult and takes time. If you aren't interested in opening doors may I interest you speaking with Lord Shaxx about partaking in the Crucible?

Unfortunately it's difficult for a ghost to lose it's light. I can assure you Guardian that I will not fall into the hands of the Hive and their abominable machines that the witches' were using to sap The Travelers power. Just remember to give me a couple moments while I configure my subroutines. Don't forget to protect me Guardian. Edit to my rhetoric. Unfortunately while I was configuring my subroutines I forgot to disable my "Type with the skills of a primordial human" subroutine. I apologize for the inconvenience.

We're you just bored or something in destiny? I can fully sympathise with that.
It is a Guardian's destiny to work in the light. If a Guardian chooses to abandon their destiny that is their choice. I am just a proxy for the speaker and the traveler.
