Ep VIII delayed until December 15th, 2017.
>tfw no more Star Wars on the 40th anniversary
At least it's not like 5 months after Rogue One anymore. Makes more sense to space them out evenly IMO (plus that's just what I'd prefer). Although it'll now be competing with Avatar 2 at the box office, it's a smart move by Disney. Previously, they'd have been competing with themselves with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in May 2017.

Depends on the game. I don't know until I play it.
GTA IV got tiresome. I got sick of GTA V after I'd finished the story missions.
Ocarina of Time's overworld is alright enough, and excellent for what it was, but Wind Waker's world blows it out of, uh, the water.
Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations were binge-fests for me. Same with Wind Waker. Burnout Paradise and Mass Effect took some time, partly due to the learning curve, but I came to adore them. I especially liked the Mako exploration, even though it generally sucked--it had good elements to it, I just want it improved. MGSV and Just Cause 2 get repetitive, but I tend to binge those once I've gotten into them after taking a break for a while.
Oblivion, Skyrim, and Minecraft are fine when they're new, or when I get a new mod to try it, but once I've gotten tired of it all, I can't go back.
Assassin's Creed 3 just flat-out sucked, and killed my remaining interest in the series after Revelations' story blunders. I never finished it.

I've been a bit interested in this game. My first impression was that it's a bit weird, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I have almost no idea what it's about or how it plays aside from fantasy/dragons.

I figure it's because neckbeards like Roman feel they don't have to change as much about themselves to actually, like, date a girl, and seemingly not that many girls are geeks in the first place.

wait, did we actually make progress in this thread? I can't speak for alcoholism, but years ago I used to be (more than) a bit adamantly against smoking (see: Verb in this thread), since my dad smoked at least a pack a day and looks about 10 years older than he really is. Nothing ever worked in the long term, and he's still making excuses about it after all these years. I've resigned myself to some sort of reluctant acceptance of smoking in general, without entirely giving up on it. Alcohol was never much of a problem here (outside of the awkwardness of a beer can in daylight with guests over) since he dropped that pretty quickly, and never got hammered in the first place.

All I have fucking done in this thread is explain to you people PRECISELY what I think about alcohol consumption.
And then presented those thoughts as fact and refused to present anything else supporting your case.
If I came across as dismissive, it was because you took any further challenge or questioning of your logic as some sort of total rebuttal as opposed to, I don't know, seeking further evidence?
I don't understand what further evidence you need.
So instead of refusing to present more evidence, just present more evidence.
I don't understand what further evidence you need. How can I give you further evidence if I don't even know what the fuck it is you're looking for?
"Here's my opinion, and if this isn't enough proof for you, too bad" Is that clear enough?

'This is all the proof you need, because it's right because I said so' comes across as childish and unable to handle the fact that people aren't simply left enlightened in your wake.

You still can't prove that drinking alchohol is stupid aside from your personal feelings on the matter. Except I have. And you've yet to respond as to why I'm wrong.
You haven't proven yourself anything close to right that isn't along the lines of "because I am," so it'd be a waste of my precious time.

Or you know, a misunderstanding, but you assume everyone must think the same way you do or else they're wrong.
But instead of understanding that, lol another straw man
And instead of defending alcohol consumption, lol another shitpost devoid of anything called an "argument"
You can't demonstrate that drinking alcohol isn't stupid--so I'm going to assume that you're wrong.
Also, learn what the fuck a straw man is, kid. You obviously don't know what it means.
You misrepresented my argument, so I called you out on it. You still can't prove that drinking alchohol is stupid aside from your personal feelings on the matter. There's nothing more to be said, child.

bad = wrong
"I'm going to twist the definitions of the words you're using in my favor, because I'm incapable of being honest."
Bad = anything I want it to be. In this case, bad = stupid.

You can't prove that harm is inherently wrong. I never said "wrong."
I said STUPID.
Even then, I could probably prove that it's wrong quite easily.
It's axiomatic.
The ultimate imperative for us as a race is to be productive in some form or another. It would be in our least interest, then, to prevent (or debilitate) ourselves from being productive in any way. Harm is a form of debilitation; when you get drunk, you're debilitating yourself. This is intrinsically wrong.
It is stupid to debilitate yourself. You should want your body to be performing at full capacity at all times.
Demonstrate to me why that is the wrong outlook.
I'm not sure why you said this has nothing to do with objective morality Because it has absolutely nothing to do with morality.
ALCOHOL IS HARMFUL. HARM = BAD.
bad = wrong

Now for your other claims.
https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/burden-of-proof
Alcohol harms you. This is a fact.
Prove me wrong.
You can't prove that harm is inherently wrong. I'm not sure why you said this has nothing to do with objective morality, because it clearly has everything to do with it.
