I was the polar opposite. I never wanted to associate with anyone ever again. And luckily, I've kept alumni encounters to a minimum.
Just wait until you have like 5 classes at sensible times of the day, you'll come around.
are you me

I've had a few, but Burnout Paradise is the first one that comes to mind. Hated the demo, rented the full game and hated that too, but tried it again a few months later with an open mind and fell in love. I've put in over 100 hours into that game. I mostly have game completion aside from some online Achievements and challenges.
That game was probably my best matchmaking experience, would make friends every day there.
>.> I wussed out of matchmaking while the game was still active. Freeburn/challenges were pretty fun though. Whyyyyyy I did that, I'll never know.

Oh >.> I've been on to play some MGSV, and crawl through the rest of my game library.

Oh crap, I think I still need to add you on Steam.

Destiny seems like a good fix for you then. Halo 5 you're getting...
The Elite game when it comes to Xbox?
Elite Dangerous is already out in the preview section. Basically early access for xbox. Controls well, but you kind of need friends playing it to keep your interest.
Well, unless you're really into sim games.
Desticle tells me about it like aaaaaalll the time. Steam essentially has the same thing (always-on DRM) unless you jump through hoops for offline mode. No reselling physical copies of games. I don't believe in double standards.
It's not a double standard because Steam is only non physical copies anyway. Microsoft was trying to make their new console a thing so you couldn't even give a DISK to a friend, which is retarded. It's why Sony made that video of them just showing them handing it to another.
It's not a double standard because Steam didn't start out as a console. MS was with the 360 and original xbox.
Meh, I guess.

But they ultimately didn't. It wasn't any worse than Steam DRM, either.
They ultimately didn't because the fans literally cried out "FUCK YOU" when they tried to pull it. It's the fact they TRIED that matters. They tried to pass off something hoping they could, and tested the waters to see how much fans would take.
The game industry sadly tries something like this every few years or so. Steam just tried it too with paid mods until they also said screw you.
Basically, it's not whether they did or did it. It's that they tried it in the first place. It's the principle.
Steam essentially has the same thing (always-on DRM) unless you jump through hoops for offline mode. No reselling physical copies of games. I don't believe in double standards. The Elite game when it comes to Xbox?
? Sunset Overdrive is pure insanity, fast paced action that is just so wacky and fun. It's not meant to be taken seriously, and much more fun that way.
Thanks, I'll have to check it out >.>

Why not the elite bundle?
Halo 5 bundle is more relevant to my interests. Black Ops III
TBH I am interested in Advanced Warfare (haven't played it yet), so I'll be checking that out too.

Why would you get Destiny?
go away Don't get destiny kupo, don't support bungie and their crooked antics even if their game is enjoyable.
You have a pc so other than halo there's no good game on Xbox you can't get on your pc tbh
I'm someone who barely has a problem with EA. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and boycotts just feel like wasted energy nowadays. I need Halo 5, and that, MCC, and Destiny with Sep7ashits will be fun. Those should give me plenty to do... Spoiler but aside from those games, you're not wrong. In the past two years I've become so accustomed to PC gaming. I love having games in *actual* 1080p and high settings and with mods. When I see a list of Xbone games, I get a weird feeling that I'd rather get the PC version. The only thing that's lacking is that I'm still hunched over at a desk rather than lying on a couch.
Aaaand I know I can't force myself to *not* keep up with Halo.
Get Sunset Overdrive
What kind of game is it? What does it play like? What do you like?
FPS, action-adventure, open-world, sandbox, driving. This gen's a bit weird because I can no longer rely on Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty games being worthwhile, and I can't just wait for another Burnout game, either. I can never buy a damn console from them after they tried to fuck everyone over with that DRM of theirs.
But they ultimately didn't. It wasn't any worse than Steam DRM, either. get battlefield 4 instead of destiny you faggot
But I already have that on PC

How can you keep all 50 states teaching the same curriculum if you remove the DoE's ability to do so?
Not sure, and that's certainly an important question, but I think it's a mis-characterisation to say this is a likely outcome of his policy.
Nevertheless, I'm more concerned about his balanced budget amendment. Now that is fucking dumb.
I don't think you understand how hard American Christians fight to teach their beliefs in public schools.
I don't think you understand how little it matters in the face of economy and geopolitics.
Except I'm not talking about economics and geopolitics, I'm specifically talking about his position on the Department of Education.
I just don't think it's a big deal. Evolutionary biology and astrophysics, which you implied were your main concerns, are not a big deal. I'd be more worried about making sure the more practical STEM and health realms are being adequately taught. Creationism vs scientific origin isn't worth worrying about.
You may not think it's important, but I don't think purposefully teaching children the wrong thing is beneficial in any way, and does more damage than just in biology class.
To be fair, creationists don't know it's wrong. They mean well, and as I understand it want creationism presented alongside scientific origin and natural selection.
What kind of consequences do you expect to come of it?
Well, I for one don't quite like the idea of a scientifically illiterate populace.

The hype got to me. I'm getting an Xbox One for Christmas, Halo 5: Guardians bundle.
Aside from Destiny, what other games should I get for it, if any? They don't have to be exclusives.

Just pulling a snippet from the melodramatic 'Drone Papers' site:
During one five-month period of the operation, according to the documents, nearly 90 percent of the people killed in airstrikes were not the intended targets. In Yemen and Somalia, where the U.S. has far more limited intelligence capabilities to confirm the people killed are the intended targets, the equivalent ratios may well be much worse.
“Anyone caught in the vicinity is guilty by association,” the source said. When “a drone strike kills more than one person, there is no guarantee that those persons deserved their fate. … So it’s a phenomenal gamble.” This is literally how bombing has worked for the past century. Saying 90% of casualties aren't the intended targets is kind of silly. We've moved on from carpet bombing entire bases, with much higher rates of civilian casualties, to precision strikes on key personnel and their staff. Do innocent people die? Probably, but there's far more work put into deciding targets and strikes than there ever have been in history -- we're talking orders of magnitude more effort. Dozens or even hundreds of people contribute to compiling profiles and mission parameters for each strike. From the article:
On average, one document states, it took the U.S. six years to develop a target in Somalia, but just 8.3 months to kill the target once the president had approved his addition to the kill list. Look, the alternative is to send infantry or special forces in to capture the target, which is hardly viable in places like Somalia. Eggsalad mentioned you don't win wars by playing whack-a-mole...well actually you can; that's how the Taliban was deposed in Afghanistan after their regime fell via conventional warfare, and that's how Tanzim Qaidat was successfully combated in Iraq.
The point is that it doesn't fit the Obama administration's narrative that drone strikes are morally justified. Especially when re-election is part of the picture, they'd never actually volunteer such information that would lose them the support of their own base. It's understood that there's no such thing as a clean, collateral-free bombing campaign, but a 10% rate of success is ridiculous. Most folks would not have actually supported it if they knew about the details, and the administration knew that, so they acted accordingly. But this is in addition to the previous revelations that the administration would often order drone strikes without going through the proper legal channels. Illegally crossing borders to commit an extrajudicial assassination that isn't even legal under US law, never mind the other country's, just to not even get the guy you're aiming at (because you knew they probably wouldn't even be there), and then cover all of that up, is so egregiously, blatantly illegal, unjustifiable, and morally reprehensible. I don't know how anyone can be so content with being lied to. It's the same kind of logic that never worked during the Bush years, and we're still feeling the results of that. Unsurprisingly, more of that logic isn't going to fix the problems it's already caused. To paraphrase that Bush guy, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

He's saying he votes for the least viable Democrat in the primaries to sabotage the party.
I respect that.
It's about the most dishonest thing you can possibly do that isn't actually rigging the vote. EDIT: And about the most useless considering how few people who are politically active and would actually bother to do such a thing. Certainly not enough to affect elections.

OT: Registered Democrat but very, very tempted to switch to independent. Registered Democrat for reasons beneficial to myself. Just curious: how is it beneficial?
He's saying he votes for the least viable Democrat in the primaries to sabotage the party. Registered Democrat. Voted in every midterm and presidential election that's come up since I turned 18.
