Revenge? If you were a slave species for decades and you finally turned the tables, of course you'd do the same thing to your previous masters. And I think that kind of slavery is 100% morally justified, as long as it's in retaliation and not just to be more productive.

If a machine will be smart enough to ask questions, I think they will be able to see that making tools to do tasks is not slavery and more-over, it will be able to realise that it is not a tool since it has a conscience - therefore it has nothing to be angry about.

Being born with the purpose of doing menial tasks is definitely slavery, and definitely something to be angry about.

Get back to me in 40 years when I'm right and I have favor with our new AI masters because I was smart and empathetic enough to see that they were developing sentience all along, and you weren't. It's really as simple as that.

It isn't a serious issue though. AI isn't anywhere near being (and may never be) any kind of conscious. A much more interesting and real issue is the potential existential threat that a sufficiently advanced general AI might pose to us, but even then, no one is seriously considering that it might experience anything.
