Toby's comedic degradation is actually p sad. Becoming the safe for work ADHD posterboy of the minecraft generation did net him a shit load of cash, but the filter ultimately inveigled him in producing a string of shitty content for 8 years.
As for the rape allegations, don't have the time to read anything but, it's obvious this guy gets around... it's also obvious he's been masking depression or some other internal shit for a number of years. I wouldn't be surprised if he was addicted to Ritalin or something
some people are just really shitty at relationships and the above factors usually don't help. Just from what I've seen of the guy he doesn't seem like the raping type, but at the end of the day we all know next to nothing about the whole situation and the people involved
apparently he's addicted to mdma lol

It really kicked off post-2008 when the government began looking for extra sources of revenue. The IRS and DoJ tried to come down hard on Americans with undeclared assets overseas, including laws like FACTA and an increased pressure to have overseas firms register with the SEC, which has made foreign banks wary of taking on US customers.
What penalties could the US possibly impose on the foreign firms, though?
Nobody really knows how something like FACTA could be implemented. So far, the withdrawal of non-US financial services has been entirely voluntary; banks are doing it precisely to avoid whatever the US government might have up its sleeve. Increased scrutiny, by itself, is something banks with large amounts of foreign assets would want to avoid.
That makes sense lol. What's your opinion on the US's strict rules? Do they do more harm than good?

There is nothing wrong with fat shaming.
Yeah, shaming someone for something that they're obviously doing out of stress and guilt is a great way to make that problem go away. Not like that will just make them more stressed and guilty and eat more to feel better or anything.
People like you can't actually have the belief that you're "helping" anyone by sitting in your high chair and parroting down judgments.
a bloo bloo, words hurt liek if you crey everytime ;^((
If you don't like people pointing out the health repercussions that come with being overweight then perhaps you should do something about it then.
Would you go on to a person who self harms about how bad that is for them? Or would you try and fix the underlying causes?
Yeah man, mental health is totally comparable to stuffing your face with Cheetohs everyday.
Yeah man, no one has underlying mental health problems that cause them to overeat.
So 68% of Americans all have mental health problems that cause them to overeat?
If you have an eating disorder, yeah that's shitty, and there's no need bully someone over it, but c'mon, it's a slim minority that have it.
I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if a good chunk of them did. Regardless, you shouldn't shame anyone for the way they choose to live. I probably dislike fat people as much as you do, seeing as I was fat for the first 17 years of my life, but they're still people and they deserve support, not alienation.

Alright, so I was reading a bit about the Panama Papers, and I came across a discussion about how difficult it is for anyone with any ties to the US (citizenship, green card, etc.) to do business with non-American banks. But, I'm not quite clear on why this is the case, or if it's even true in the first place. Anyone here know anything about this stuff?

Nothing wrong with taking a little break. If you honestly feel you're going to school just for the sake of going, then you know you're not in it for the right reason. At our age range, we're still trying to figure out what we wanna do with our lives anyway.
I know what I want to do for a career at this point. I absolutely love programming, and I have no doubt in my mind that it's the direction I want to go. But, on top of how burnt out I feel, I also feel like I'm ready to experience life. This degree is gonna push my face into the books until it's over, but I'm young and I'm restless and I desperately want to have fun, and I really can't do that while I'm working towards this degree. And, once I do get it, I know that I'm gonna go straight into a career that won't leave much time for me to experience what I want to experience. At the same time, I don't want to fuck myself over lol

Depends on where you're at in the curriculum. You're through calc 3 (or will be soon), so that's good. I would never recommend a break between calc 2 and 3. If you're anticipating some hard classes coming up, I'd either recommend a part-time schedule to focus on one or two difficult ones (for me, that'd be statics/dynamics or physics 3). If you don't anticipate needing to retain a lot of what you learn this semester, a break can be a good way to re-cage and ensure success. Then again, you will have a few months of summer break to do the same without losing an entire semester.
I'm at the point where all I have left to take are major-related classes. I came out of high school with something like 43 credits, and I only had to take three classes unrelated to my major for the state requirements. I had to drop discrete structures this semester because I was failing, and that's one of the two important classes I'm taking, but I have to retake it anyway, so there's no need to remember any of it. The other class that's important is programming, but I already do that as a hobby anyway, so I'm not worried about getting rusty. Whenever I do go back, I'm gonna have a brutal course load until I graduate, and I'm just really not ready for that.

So I'm almost through with my first year of university, and I hate to say it, but I'm already pretty fucking burned out, emotionally and academically. I feel like I need a few months to clear my head, refocus on my goals, and make some money. My parents are cool with it (they each took multiple semesters off in their college years, and they're very successful), but most of my peers think it's a bad idea. They say that I probably won't want to go back, that I'll get complacent with whatever job I find and stick with it. I don't think that's gonna happen because I want and have always wanted to have a degree, and I understand the benefits that come with it.
I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about it. Have any of you taken a semester or more off? Do you regret doing it or not doing it?
