I'm strongly considering buying the notifications mod for $20.
Can we at least have the option to turn them off? I've marked all the topics as read and still I'm bombarded with two pages of irrelevant outdated notifications every time I load up the index. I'm only on mobile so this is extra irritating.
Yeah, I know. I'll purchase the mod and install it on Monday, I think. This should make everybody happy.

EDIT: it's installed on the test forum but of course it's not working and I wasn't given a parse list so I can fix it. We're waiting on support to respond to my ticket and until then you're stuck with the shitty notifications.

Why would you want to let any time pass? Get out there and look for a job. You'll be able to get some work experience while simulatenously looking for something better. No one is stopping you from looking for another job while working.
I was hired for stop and shop and did complete the training but I quit after one day. It made me miserable that I was going to be bagging groceries with a college degree.
You have to start somewhere. Nothing is wrong with being a bagboy for a few years and a lot of them do have a college education, well, at least some of them. I never went to college and had some great jobs simply by being a hard worker until I felt like getting a more comfortable job in security.
Ok Mr. Camnator, but I worked hard for four years writing papers and researching; I don't want to something that any ordinary shmuck can do.
But you can't hold yourself so high that you let things fall by the wayside. if you can find a job, take it. If it's a pizza delivery guy, fine. If it's a receptionist for a dentist, fine. But do *something* to put on your resume to show you have some sort of professional experience, even if it isn't in your field. While you're doing those things, jobhunt for what you really want to do, so at least you have some spending money.
You aren't going to get a job based on your degree alone.
I know. I regret quitting stop and shop after they hired me, but it was only because I got a call to do an interview for substitute teaching, which I'm not even sure I'm going to get. It was foolish to do.
