The Flood / Re: Which is the worse anime
« on: March 01, 2015, 11:01:52 AM »
I like the occasional anime, but this forum's obsession is... simply weird. I draw the line at Dragon Ball and Naruto.

I can't even elaborate on it, really... I mean, I love Metal Gear, more so than these people like anime, but it's not weird, y'know? So what is it about anime that makes it less, uhm, "cool" than other things?

It's probably the masculinity associated with MG and also the fact that anime seems to have all female characters, or at least, main characters.
That's an icredibly ignorant standing point and you've actually lost my respect for having it.

Spoiler
Oh, there are so many female characters I can't believe it.

It isn't "ignorant" at all. Liking anime in western society is weird, end of story.
*Liking something not widespread is weird so feel bad*

Wow.
Just...
Fucking wow.

I never said that. Like, at all.

Like anime? Good for you! You shouldn't care what other people think. I sure as hell don't.

But to deny what associations western society makes with liking anime is retarded.

Take a look at the thread. How many reaction gifs have been posted of little girls?
One and a half.

3, from what I can see.
As long as they are indeed girls. You never know.

What obsession? Can you get more ignorant?

We just enjoy another form of media, thats like saying you people are obsessed with western shit.
Except that being into western shit is normal here. It would be different if you lived at the origin of the media you like... but you don't.
That my friend, Is some Dustin logic.

GG

Uhm, what? I don't read Dustin's posts but sure.

It's this simple:

From a western social perspective, liking anime is weird. Yes there are people who are more tolerant to it, like myself, but by and large, it's not as acceptable as say, liking Star Wars, video games, superheroes, etc....

If you lived and grew up in an asian country, I could understand why you like some anime... it makes sense.

"My interest isn't lame like yours"

In a social context, yes.

MG isn't as "frowned upon" as anime.
Maybe if you liked Splinter Cell I'd take you seriously.

>implying I don't

Not to mention that a lot of asian cultures are so sexually repressed by western standards that it's weird to see grown humans be associated with it... Take a look at the thread. How many reaction gifs have been posted of little girls?

If you want to contest something I said, go for it. I have trouble figuring out what other people are thinking online; I'm not going to guess what part of my post made you "wat".

In my experience, those of us who are more interested in pleasing others over ourselves typically have self-esteem issues and crave praise.

But I mean, it really is the only answer. If you genuinely care about your partner, that is.

everything must be a "philosophical thing" because to me, philosophy is all that really matters

The only time I talk about video games is with my specific gamer friends. But I talk about the politics and business aspect of the industry, like pretty much everything else.

Sexuality deals more with attraction than it does action. You could fuck a dude and still be straight because you weren't attracted to him, but if you were hoping that his long and hard cock fills up your ass and mouth with his sweet seed while doing it, you're gay. That is unless you say no homo of course.

But if he does it again and finds that it's an acquired taste?

For instance, what if a straight man has sex with another man, despite being 100% heterosexual? He is choosing to have gax sex, right?

I've never seen Verbatim lose a debate when it comes to anti-natalism or being a vegan, but things like Jesus never existing or competition?
It's a toss up.

I do think that him saying "I'm not intelligent and none of us are intelligent" is actually pretty close to the truth. There are more intelligent people on here than others (with users like Goji, Verb, Meta being in the upper echelon of intelligence) but that doesn't make them intelligent in the grand scheme of things.

People like to pretend his opinion doesn't matter, when the effort people put into arguing with him completely contradicts that.

17787
You're Prehistoric?

Huh, you used to be a cool guy, admittedly. Emphasis on used to.

The same can be said of you, admittedly.

YOU CHANGED YOUR GODDAMN NAME!

You're Prehistoric?

Funny that you used to like me when I was an asshole. I'm far nicer now than I used to be.

I always thought you were intelligent, but you were essentially the asshole version of Gojira. Prone to emotional posts instead of objective ones if you got pissed off.

That trait seems to have been nurtured on Sep7. I don't even dislike you, you've just never been kind to me and I followed suit.

I guess for number three I'd say that a female would need to understand that they're with a vers. bisexual male and should be prepared to, on occasion, "man up" in the bedroom.

Heh. I hear you, dude.

-Willing to practice abstinence and have a Catholic wedding
Yes, let's listen to what some random old man in the old days suddenly said was wrong, and not was Jesus said at all. Let's also listen to them saying women having any power in the Catholic church being wrong, and then turn a Saint into a whore because women are bad!

Let's also have an expensive wedding and then get divorced in 4 years because we focused on the idea of marriage rather than the marriage itself, and what we'd do if the other suddenly came down with a disease or the first wave of "excitement" in the relationship fades away.
It's rather amusing that you told people to put down their fedoras only a few posts before this, then proceed to make a fedorarific post like this.

Holy fuck, rekt.
