Because I get an immense feeling of joy every time I compare my Visa balance to my bank balance...

Wait, not joy. Horror.

Didn't he die, like, thirteen years ago?

What's-his-face cut him in half after they all got back to Earth from Piccolo's planet, right?

It seems to me that the ammo ban is a roundabout way of banning AR-15 pistols (at least those chambered in 5.56). I know people in the US have been using AR pistols with braces as a way to work around SBR laws.

If I understand correctly, M855 was exempted from sporting regulations, but that exemption was "intended" for rifles using that caliber. There wasn't an AR pistol market at the time. I guess the exemption was in conflict with pistol regulations once AR pistols became popular. And the ATF weren't all too pleased.

Oh well. On the plus side, more surplus ammo for 5.56 fans on our side of the border. Just like some of those Korean Garands we got ahold of.

I got shot in the buttocks when me and my friends were out looking for that Charlie guy.

We never found him by the way. But I did get to meet the President after I came home.

Evidently the cheese eating surrender monkeys across the Channel have a firearm homicide rate fairly equivalent to the UK at 0.06 per 100,000 people. And to my knowledge, handguns and semiautomatics can be purchased by civilians, provided you have the appropriate permits.
Crucial aspect is that French citizens can only buy guns when they have a valid hunting or sporting permit.
The sport shooting permit can be acquired if you to have a membership at a shooting range. The hunting permit involves a more rigorous safety test.

What is this, the Islamic Borg?

We are the Islamic Borg. Lower your weapons and surrender your pork. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Resistance is futile. Allahu Akbar!

Hmm, whenever this sort of topic comes up, it always seems to turn into a "USA vs Insert European Country Here" debate. More similar countries with more permissive firearm laws never seem to factor into the equation.

I found this to be pretty interesting, although I admittedly skimmed the article.

Evidently the cheese eating surrender monkeys across the Channel have a firearm homicide rate fairly equivalent to the UK at 0.06 per 100,000 people. And to my knowledge, handguns and semiautomatics can be purchased by civilians, provided you have the appropriate permits.

I also found it interesting that there are an estimated 19 million civilian guns in France.

C'mon UK! Are you going to let yourselves be outdone by those stuck up wine sippers?!

Serious / Re: Would you like CCW in the UK and Europe?
« on: February 09, 2015, 06:32:37 PM »
The Czech republic does pretty good with CCW. Why not the rest of Europe?
Cultural differences. The Czechs have had a very well developed firearms industry and a long history of civilian ownership. Czech arms manufacturers were largely untouched when they were under Communist control during the Cold War, but civilian ownership was obviously restricted. But even then it was not as strict compared to other Soviet Bloc countries.

After the fall of communism, the Czechs wanted their guns back for pretty obvious reasons.

I guess I'm a fiscal conservative with a side of cultural conservatism.

Don't have a problem with gays getting married, but don't spend tax dollars like a drunken sailor on "feel-good" projects (Looks at Ontario Liberals).

And I consider myself a Canadian. Not a Hyphenated-Canadian. And especially not a Canadian-of-Convenience who picks up dual citizenship, flies back to whatever 3rd World country they came from, and then begs for our government to help them and their family when they piss off the tin pot dictator or 4th Century Theocracy that runs the place.

The Flood / Re: Those bolt action AR-15's.
« on: February 01, 2015, 08:00:32 PM »
Meh, outside of the areas where that's the only legal way to own an AR, it doesn't do much for me.

I'd go for a more traditional .223 bolt gun.

The Five-seveN is like a hipster's gun, I feel.

Also it's cool as shit. You should find someone to sneak you some of the black-tipped rounds.
Eh, I'd wager something like a Jericho 941 would be way more hipsterish than a Five-Seven.

Hell is real, and it's in Norway.

Michigan, Norway, what's the bloody difference?

Make every man a rifleman, and I bet they'll cut that shit out pretty quick.

Maybe the Swiss do have the right idea after all...

So I wonder when traditional British values will change to eating Halal foods and following Sharia Law?

JK :)

Though it does kind of make me wish that we expressed our national pride a bit more over here, rather than through our passive-aggressive sorta-kidding but kinda-not ribbing of the Americans lol. We need another Vancouver 2010.
