On my slow self-destructive path, sometimes getting off of it to a healthier state of being, then inevitably steering myself back onto it.

What's been wring with it?

So far Galadriel.  Bad continuity and writing.  Cringe content. 

On the good side it does look very good and expensive.  The rendition of Numenor is magical.  Everything with the dwarves is fun as usual and the friendship between Elrond and Durin.  The orcs look good.

Overall I'd say Elrond and Durin bros have the show on their back.  They're the only part that feels like someone among the two dozen writers and producers actually likes Tolkien.  Every other storyline and character they're juggling is pretty weak.  Honestly I dunno why I'm even watching anymore but I think it's just cause it looks so nice.
