Haven't played MK8, but is this track seriously worse than rainbow road?

Yeah man, it puts even the SNES one to shame with how shit it is. There's 1 difficult Rainbow Road in MK8 that's actually pretty manageable once you get the hang of drifting lines. But on banked/slanted corners (which is pretty much every corner in Cheese Land) the drifting mechanics become jank as fuck and the outside of every corner becomes a black hole. It doesn't help that it's one of the 5 courses in the game where the AI and item RNG are designed with the pure intent to absolutely rape you with unfair shit on 150cc and above.

It's a shame because on 50-100cc it's actually a really fun course and the lower speed means the corners won't punish you for being slightly off the optimal line.

A few of these placings look way off tbh; I think Sheik, Villager, Mega Man and Yoshi should be in A, DK, Peach and Pit/Dark Pit should be in High tier, Pac Man, Palutena, DHD, Link and Samus should be upper mid tier and Charizard should be Low at worst.

Fucking Gen 3 Wobbuffet and his broken ass Counter/Mirror Coat spam, I've actually lost an entire team (that was really overlevelled) because none of them had any passive moves so I kept getting 1 hit KOed by that cunt at the psychic Gym.

Honourable mention to Smash 4's level 9 CPUs for having frame 1 reactions in a game with a 7 frame input buffer and not actually being good with spacing and mindgames. It's like the Bungie/Halo AI designers were tasked with making the AI for Smash 4 and Mario Kart 8: 'Instead of making the AI interesting and fun to play against let's give them all this dumb shit Humans can never do and keep them as dumb as ever. What a grand experience this will be.'

In Mario Kart especially, it's literally RNG on higher difficulties on whether you win or lose. Take the perfect line and even some shortcuts while using your items defensively? Too bad, that cheating cunt Lemmy suddenly upgraded his engine to a top fuel Drag racer's and he's going to throw a bob-omb with an impossibly short fuse at you on the finishing line, allowing everybody else who has been saving their entire item inventory for you to get shat on.
