Your cellphone, your wallet, your time, your ideas.
No bar-code, no party, no ID, no beers.
Your bankcard, your license, your thoughts, your fears.
No SIM card, no disco, no photo, not here.
Your blood, your sweat, your passions, your regrets.
Your profits, your time off, your fashions, your sex.
Your pills, your grass, your tits, your ass.
Your laughs, your balls, we want it all

The Flood / Re: ITT: Talk about your best friends
« on: October 24, 2014, 06:05:01 AM »
As you get older, you tend to find out who your real friends are, or if you even have any at all left.

Luckily, I have one, can't even remember how long we've been friends but is well over 15 years, we consider ourselves brothers more than anything.

Reciprocating smileys is where it's at, just do it right.

e.g. Don't reply to "Hey! How are you? :)" with "My grandad died yesterday! :)" That's just bad on many, many levels.

Yeah, I like finding out which types of simleys people use when I first meet them, the smiley tongue out one seems to be the most popular.

:P

I'm more of a  ^^ or  :^) myself

A recent thing where I live was :L, essentially replacing lol. Suitable for most situations.

Yeah I see that a lot too, it's like a filler smiley for when you can't think of another one.

xD  is pretty popular

If I'm in a period where I am texting more than 5 girls on a consistent basis then my text game is hot. Been on a texting dry streak mostly cause it's boring so it's probably not too good

What do you talk about when starting convos? That's what I find is the  hardest part, say you're texting someone you don't know too well or haven't spoken to in a while, is difficult thinking of something to say

B) 2 day rule?

Basically if a grill gives you contact details, it is common social etiquette to wait at minimum 2 days before you contact them. Otherwise you look autistic.

Be it on friendface, skype, or whatever kool kidz use these days, a strong texting game is needed in this day and age to get that grill. Throw out some tricks and tipiddy tips.

Here's a golden oldie : NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SAY "Please respond"

Also, 2 day rule yo, 2 day rule.

Not gonna lie, some days stuff like this actually does sway me.

I'm really not the trusting type.
You have to be, to believe shit like this.

It's enticing, sure, but no group - especially not one made of politicians - is even mildly efficient enough to pull something like that off.

good goy, don't believe these tin foil hat crazies...

The Five Pillars of Beetul.

Now that's a new one

1008
I did, and then I realised that in reality people don't actually care about you until you make them care, so I made them care, I only changed a few things, but the effects snowballed until now i've even got a GF. That was unthinkable a year ago.

You say you don't want companionship, well I didn't think I did either, but it turns out I did, I really really did.

So for you, the need is simply to stop caring, you don't even need to talk much. Use a phrase here, an expression there and just alter your overall mannerism, disregard your self-image and base your actions to another entirely off what gets a good reaction.

Get booty
420 blaze it
Smok wead erryday
Feel less lonely

you speak with wisdom friend

1009
Do you not like the people you are talking to?

That's a good point you bring up. In all honestly, no. I don't want to sound like a pompous douche but I make an effort to talk to a few new people each day and the vast majority I find dull or boring, or just having nothing in common!

There is a few I would like to get to know better but due to physical obstacles (like commuting and timetables) I don't seem them as often as I would like to.

The Flood / I ask this unto you, Flood, in confidence, hear my words.

I know most of you, many of whom I trust and would share bread and wine with gladly. For those few that put hate upon me, I do not know why, regardless, I beseech you, to hear this and answer honestly.

Have any of you ever suffered from chronic loneliness? Depression is the hot topic of today's youth and it is easy to mingle the two, but I speak solely of loneliness. Have you ever woken up and said to yourself, "My god, I'm so incredibly lonely."? Have you ever went an entire  day surrounded by people, praying, hoping, that one of them would just say hello to you?

I'm sure many of you are alienated by this concept and will call me an autistic f@ggot or an aspie or a fracking beta f@ggot. But I do not fall under these categories, that is what confuses me most.

I simultaneously am exhausted by talking to people (when I rarely do) yet I crave greatly for companionship. I shall delve no further. To those that understand my words, reply in confidence with your experiences.

Don't. Those glasses won't suit you.

Any suggestions as to what would?
from photos I've seen of you, you seem to have a small head. I suggest black frames and tinted glasses. Like these but thinner.

Yeah that could work pretty good actually.

As you are by far the most fashionable group of people the internet has ever had the privileged of assembling, I turn to you in my hour of need.

(Lenses have the option of being tinted, not sun glass level, but a slight hue.)

I've recently become single after a 4 year relationship >>
Sorry to hear that :L
You know I definitely thought this person was the one, but...these last few months have shown me that I was too blinded by love to realize how wrong certain things were. It makes you feel really dirty when you realize that you were being used and manipulated but had no idea.

...So yeah.

You should feel not that of filth but of enlightenment, for you have gained a vast wealth of knowledge from this experience and can use it to your advantage in more critical years of your life. I too, as have many other, walked that path of manipulation. All one can hope to do when all is said and done is to extract all information possible from this, so as to never allow it to happen again.

good luck friendo

It's a mix of both. It's good knowing so that I don't get unknowingly strung through that for another few years, but it still hurts so much to know that the person I was going to devote my entire life to was just using me and that so much of it all was just...fake. Not just that, but I really thought this person was my best friend, you know?

I know exactly what you mean but thankfully it has been many years since I was in your situation, so I have had time to recover and you will too. I remember all too well the burning taste of betrayal and confusion that I was left with and as you are fully aware, it is not something to enjoy.
