Now that I think about it, I read the nazis genuinely believed the earth was hallow. But... What if they were right?  :o

The Flood / Re: Do you own a gun... Or have shot one?
« on: November 29, 2014, 12:01:29 AM »
I have shot many different types of guns, either through family, friends, or being in the military. I own several guns and am always looking to add to my collection. I have not bought a new one in quite a while, but am looking to soon. My mother will probably buy me one for my birthday, but I will probably have to pay for at least half of it.

List of what I have

Mossberg Maverick 88 12 gauge
Ruger 10/22
7.62x54r Mosin Nagant with synthetic Archangel stock and scope
Hi-Point .45ACP Carbine
Ruger SR45
.45ACP Regent R100 1911
Damn. That's quite a collection you got there.
Eh, I guess I cannot call six guns a "collection". I did acquire all of those over the course of two years though. I love guns, and knives/machetes.
It's a lot better than what I could do in two years. Are you a fan of Kabar knives? I have a marine one and it's really nice. Can slice through anything. Anything!

I honestly didn't think they'd make a sequel.

My dad is a former cop (he retired because someone shot him in the knee) and he has a few. I've never shot them before. I would like to though because I'm a fan of marksmanship. I'm really skilled with a nerf gun.
But yeah anyway do you own one or have fired one?

The Flood / What kind of car do you have?
« on: November 26, 2014, 01:20:20 PM »
Let's see who has the best car. I have a Ford Fiesta that my parents bought, so no complaints here, good gas mileage and room. I hope to upgrade to something else one day. Not sure what though. What do you drive? Those toy cars you push with your feet count I guess.   ;)

Initially it was over a presumably innocent black teen being shot by the police, and the protests were quite peaceful. However over time a lot of outsiders of the community joined and I guess it just escalated. I've been too busy to follow this particular story but from what I understand it devolved into a riot. We'll just have to see the aftermath of the ruling.
The black teen person was not innocent, he basically was like any other criminal, robbing shit.
They didn't know that back then though. The facts weren't out.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's sort of reasonable to stop a person going 3 times the speed limit on anything. If people were around I can see where they're coming from. If not, then it probably could have been brushed off.

There's no shame. Pretty much any political forum in existence is better than this one.
Well, we're really not a political forum.

We're not even any genre of forum.

This place is pretty much a refugee camp for former Floodians. I don't really expect to see much expansion beyond that.
Yeah, I just consider the serious board a political forum based on the content. It's true that it's technically not one however.

Assuming you're participating. I'm thinking about camping outside of walmart to buy this really nice 8 pack of bottled water I've been wanting for a while. No but seriously, I'm going to see some movies with some buds and maybe go to the mall to browse.

Soap from COD.

;D

« on: November 25, 2014, 03:34:42 PM »
I'm ruling out humans since you already are one (unless you're one of the greys). If I could be any animal it would be a squirrel. I'd love to go around stuffing as many nuts in my mouth as I can.

Acquire spanish girlfriend you really really like.

Learn spanish for her.
It would be a good motivator.

Mix of the government and the business cycle. There's a slight economic decline every few years (along with heights); some are bigger than others of course.

This has to be the biggest burden in the world for a city that size. I assume it's already hard enough living and moving around with so many people on the clearest day of the year.

The Flood / What's the best way to learn Spanish?
« on: November 19, 2014, 01:27:59 AM »
Preferably without spending a lot of money, if any. Spanish is becoming a very prevalent language in the US so it's best I try to at least learn it for practicality reasons and to put it on a resume. I've I wanted to learn for quite some time.
I was thinking about borrowing Rosetta stone or getting a book. Any suggestions?

people who have gone through the same initiation progress and who have learned what it means to live and maintain a Greek life.

So, "Greek life" includes learning to clean a house and taking paddles up the ass? Or just being able to chug a set amount of beers?
It's more than that. Pledges aren't just pawns, they learn the ins and outs of Greek life, they participate in many functions, they give back to the university and local community, and they learn to socialize with absolutely everyone in the fraternity.

Vans (Authentics, Sk8 hi's, Era's)
http://world.muroexe.com/ this shit cus I think it looks dope af (can't actually vouch for the quality though so be cautious)
Nike actually makes good shoes outside of the dadcore trainers they make. Flyknits and airforce 1 and shit.
Some people like PF Flyers, and I think they're pretty dope myself.
Dr. Martens if you are into something a little less sporty looking.

Lotsa boots out there too, but they're more expensive typically.
Dude the shoes in that link are clean as fuck.

Serious / Re: Why are fraternities still a thing?
« on: November 14, 2014, 01:50:38 PM »
A fraternity is a brotherhood, a lifelong bond between people who have gone through the same initiation progress and who have learned what it means to live and maintain a Greek life. Anyone who doesn't understand this is someone who could never get into a frat, and it's incredibly stupid to judge fraternities based on isolated accidents.
None of that really answers anything. Just sounds like pro-frat regurgitation.
It answered everything, you just didn't comprehend it, which is expected since you initially know nothing about frats.
Are you ever not condescending?
It wasn't intentional. It was just to preface my point, but it's true you don't know a lot about frats which is why I'm answering the question.

Do you have any recommendations for shoes, OP? I have a pair of converse, boat shoes, and boots. But I feel like it's not really cutting it fashion wise.
How much are you willing to spend?
No more than $150 a pair.
