Probably that ethical constraints hold back humans in scientific advancement in several areas and that such things as genetic engineering in humans should not only be allowed, it should be widely encouraged. I'm talking like paying people to allow their future child's genetic makeup to be altered with experimental genes, recommend for people to allow alteration of their future child with the genes that have shown to have a correlation with an increase of grey matter and higher intellect, allow for those parents with genetic disorders to change the makeup of their future child to find cures to those genetic disorders. Hell, I even support the idea of "designer babies" for those who want them.

Yeah, unfortunately, there could be several downfalls to it. It really wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that these alterations could lead to the creation of new genetic disorders in future generations and even though I hate to invoke Godwin's law here, there is also the concern that the loosening on restrictions in gene altering could lead to the second attempt to create a "master race," though in modern society I personally think it would be highly improbable. What I might be more likely would be the creation of a caste system between those who support gene alteration and those who don't. There would probably be discrepancy between the rich and the poor in the creation of genetically enhanced children as well, leading to not only social class separation but also physical separation, that's honestly why I'd rather see gene altering as something that people get paid to allow for, to minimize such a thing from happening.

It was incredibly stupid, note spoilers, though I don't think they're really necessary since the movie sucked. Spoiler Apparently people are considered divergent if they're able to think critically or some shit about scenarios, like the chick was able to beat a simulation by acknowledging she was in one or something. They make some mind control drug that apparently won't work on those people or something. The grey people get killed because a lot of divergents were in there. They saved the day by breaking into the smart people's building and using the mind control drug on the bad chick.
