I've been thinking of asking my fiancé if he'd let me use his Xbone live profile so I can make a b.net account (since he has played destiny on it), and try to recruit some newbies. However, it seems our community likes to greet new people by telling them to kill themselves. Yes it seems this has become our culture, but the only time I have truly sperged out on here was in my first thread when Slash told me to kill myself and I went off on him. I didn't know any better. On top of that we're one of the few forums that permits mild dissing, name calling, etc. so I think that can either be alluring or discouraging for newbies to post. We seem a lot more complex than we really are.
The biggest issue with advertising on b.net is that everyone, including the people who don't know shit about this place, gets really pissy when we mention sep7.
Well that's kind of amusing tbh. >.>
Why do they get pissy?
Well iirc the older members are mad at sep7 because people abandoned ship instead of helping fix the place. The newer guys hate us because the older guys hate us.
