It honestly depends on way too many factors to claim something like this.
Spanking your kid for doing something very bad (like if your kid is a teenager and they stole or something, they back talked, etc) then it's fine, it helps teaches them consequences.
Spanking them if ye did something (like not doing what you told them to do immediately, leaving garbage out, etc) then they don't really deserve it.
There's also a foggy line between abuse and spanking, it also depends on multiple things.

At that age, they can actually retaliate. If they don't, it's because the damage has already been done and they're literally scared shitless of you thanks to the beatings or just not physically capable of defending themselves.
Laying your hands on a child with the intent to cause pain is absolutely unacceptable.
Normal parents don't spank their kids with the intention to cause pain, and if they do then it's completely wrong.

Last time I checked your boss isn't your legal guardian. Some private school used to/have spanking, but they need the parents consent ofc.

I think it was the Aurora Project chat where a mod, mentor, and some other random people were talking about a plan to try and steal the Sep7agon.net domain and shut it down to force all of us back on b.net or whatever. Cheat took some screenshots of the conversation a while back.
I still don't believe that they were serious.
They were doing an awful lot of research into what they could do to take down sep7 for it to be a joke. Including things like when our domain name expired and how much they could purchase it for.
I guess that when I saw people jokingly talk about it in tfl I just assumed it was and will always be a joke.
