Whenever I get one of those calls, especially when they're from telemarketers (since they aren't allowed to hang up), I like to strike up random conversation. This one time I got into an intelligent conversation about the possibilities of extraterrestrial life.
I was once worked as a telemarketer for the Republican Party back on 2012. I wish I had called you...all I got were some mean hillbillies.
