The Flood / Re: Do you have sympathy for fat people?
« on: July 30, 2014, 11:10:52 PM »
I'm skinny as hell, but I smoke daily, do drugs, don't exercise, and drink alcohol way too much. With this thread's logic, that's good because I'm not slightly overweight. And my previous point still stands: why the fuck do you care if someone's fat? It's their life. And don't give me that "but omg muh societal health". If you really cared about society's health, you would go work at a soup kitchen. Or do some community service. Or do anything other than go on the Internet and tell fat people that they should feel bad, so you can make yourself feel better.

Was once fat in middle school, but not to fat though...

Which group of large people are you talking about? The people who can't really help it, or the people who let it happen and don't do anything about it?
Obviously the latter. I used to be kinda pudgy too when I was young. But one day I decided to fix that, so everyday for a year I woke up two and half hours early before school and did straight cardio. I lost tons of sleep and the extra classes I had certainly didn't help ease my cramped schedule. But the day when you can finally walk around in public without having to tuck in your stomach or worry about what people think of you is the best reward ever. And that's not for a lack of words either. Being comfortable in your own skin is really an amazing feeling.

I've been seeing my extended family once every year ever since I was young for a family reunion up in New Hampshire. I was always the pudgy one and I constantly got shit from it from everyone: my aunts, my younger cousins, my older brother, etc. They would talk about it right in front of me just mocking me as if I was a dog. But you know what I was this to them this year? The athletic one. Even to this day I still exercise everyday doing cardio, and ab and arm exercises. Just because you have a slower metabolism doesn't mean you can't take of yourself. That's the end point.
Your family sound like assholes.

I don't have sympathy for them, but I don't hate them either. Sure, they lead an unhealthy lifestyle, but that's none of my business.

How much do they usually cost? I'm thinking about getting one.
I got a disposable one for $9. It lasts for 225-250 drags, about the length of a pack and a half of regular cigs. For a rechargeable/refillable one (that are quite a bit nicer) it's usually like $40-$70, and refills for another 300 drags or so cost like a buck or two. So not really that unreasonably priced.

I hate this term with extreme prejudice but

such edge
I don't understand how using an ecig is edgy in any way.

Thank god all the places around me treat ecigs the same as cigarettes.
That's dumb as hell. Water vapor and smoke are two objectively different things.
Except I don't want you puffing your clouds of strawberry mango vapor in my face at a concert, thank you very much.

While egics are less offensive to my nose, you should still take that shit outside.
If someone is blowing it directly into your face, that's a problem. If someone's blowing it in your general vicinity, suck it up. The smell lasts less then ten seconds, while cigarette smell can linger for hours. If you're more than five feet away, you can't even smell it at all.

So? That's just normal teenager stuff. Also, ecigs and regular cigs are nothing alike.

lol, I love that. Blu ecigs have a blue LED at the end, though, so people know you're smoking an ecig.

yea, i'm almost 100 percent sure the guy had the blue led on his e-cig, but I was too focused on the whole pocket deal to realize

does the stuff you smoke contain nicotine or are you just smoking flavored vapors? I'm not exactly sure of what's in an e cig
You can do it either way. The one I bought has nicotine in it.

I met this guy in this billiards bar who was sucking on an e cig, I thought it was an actual cigarette from a distance so when he took a puff and then put the cig back in his shirt pocket I thought he had some sort of mental illness

You need a hookah.
Did you not even read the OP? I can't exactly light up or even hide a hookah in a three-room RV.
WHat do you need to hide a hookah for?
Bro, I'm camping with my grandparents in a small RV. This would be apparent if you read the OP.

Yeah, I used to try to hide my young age (I was 11 and a half when I joined Bnet as SecondClass), but lately I've just stopped caring about it.

America
Detroit to be specific so it's understandable
Yeah, though I used to live in Asheville, where a baby could get drugs. It's a bit harder in Detroit, tbh

How long do they last before you have to refill them?
I just bought a disposable, so there's no refill. They last like 225-250 puffs, so like a pack and a half of regular cigs. And a disposable costs $10. So good deal altogether.

Damn, this thing is so kickass!! No smoke, no lighter, hardly any smell, but it looks and feels just like a cigarette. I'm on vacation with my grandparents, and I can seriously just puff away in their RV when they're just in the other room. And they can't tell whatsoever.

And don't even get me started on convenience. I can just take a single puff if that's all I want. In a restaurant and no one's looking? I can take a few puffs. I'm probably going to buy another disposable when school starts, so I can smoke on the bus and in classes. So fucking awesome!

Anyone else bought one of these things?

So I'm an asshole because I don't do drugs? Doesn't sound like I'm the asshole here.
No, you completely missed what I was saying. I don't care if you do or do not do drugs. I care when non-drug users talk down to drug users, and vice versa. And that's definitely what you were doing. Saying "I don't do drugs" and "loldrugs" are two completely different things.

None, because I don't feel comfortable putting substances in my body that could have an immediate detrimental effect, result in addiction or cause mental health issues.

I don't see how he's an asshole because he doesn't want to do/try drugs. I get the impression that you're just trying to impress people here and look like a tough guy.
He's an asshole because he's dismissing all drug users in general. And fucking Christ, Kiyo. I'm not trying to look like a tough guy, I'm trying to make a thread about what drugs the Flood has used. Take a chill pill.

>implying you have to be edgy to do drugs
like i said before, it is quite edgy when you're just out of middle school
Not really. Middle school is when most people start doing drugs.
